Hey Mat, what's the best vr headset for vrchat tho? If we take into account 2 different headsets. 1: Best headset overall 2: Best headset with the ability of eyetracking and facetracking? (Also best trackers and controllers?) I'm new to the vr market trying to find the best headset for vrchat. (On the side I do want to attempt vr games though, like beatsaber, contractors and any others I may find) If you could help, I'd appreciate it 🙏
Not my area of expertise but I know not many headsets support eye tracking. Vive pro eye Quest pro psvr2 eye tracking doesn't work for PCVR or vrchat .... Maybe consider a used quest pro off ebay
Hi Matteo, I am currently doing my research before buying my first VR headset. One thing, I find troublesome is to decide the audio solution for VR. I love my Sennheiser headset for audio quality and comfort, but it doesn't seem to be suitable for standalone VR. Options that remain are in-ear or off-ear. I am not a big fan of in-ear, due to comfort issues I had with all in-ear headphones I tried, so off-ear headphones would be my preferred choice. So I am trying to find info about VR headsets with off-ear headphones and the only other alternative to Valve Index seems to be Pimax Crystal Light with DMAS headphones. Have you had a chance to try it? Is it better audio quality than previous Pimax headsets and is it comparable audio quality to Valve Index?
I would give the Infinite inside a try in full VR. In fact when I originally saw the game was disappointed to see it was a mix reality game. Brazen Blaze beta was also a great turn off for me, and I love the concept and character design, but the visuals are horrible. I'm guessing it may have to do with the level of destructibility? surely that aspect consumes plenty of resources.
My guildmates and I have been playing Brazen Blaze in beta and it is crazy fun. We end up covered in sweat and laughing our faces off. It's so satisfying to demolish everything and punch someone so hard they fly off the map. Good times.
I liked that you touched on this question again out of cycle of a new headset release. Good to post something up to date for those that are considering it. Also, I like the points you were covering. Especially I do know folks that really want that high production AAA graphics level. So right there they wouldn't appreciate the gameplay of some of the current VR titles that are amazing in their own right.
I'm most interested in Infinite Inside, Tomb Explorer VR (which I hope comes to PSVR 2), and The Utility Room. Thrasher could be cool too. It sort of looks like Snake on crack, with elements of the Saturn game Nights mixed in. Oh and I'd love to see some coverage of Riven's VR mode. Haven't really seen anybody cover it, and it looks like it could be gorgeous/amazing. Good job on the video 👍
You need to try Tales of Glory 1 (I tried it after you mentioned it on one of your recent videos, or maybe it was someone in the comments). It’s like mount and blade bannerlord in VR and it’s a sleeper of a game that feels like a full game and not a tech demo! Note: the demo is outdated so don’t try it, and tales of glory 2 is a separate type of game, not a sequel to tales of glory 1
Really nice overview. For PCVR only I still recommend the quest 2 (Assuming the pc or steam updates don't break it in the future). But yeah for gaming probably stick to the quest 3.
@@Gamingwithmatteo311 All the flatscreen ones I have played were very lacking on soul. Look at Overwatch or that Gundam Evo that went down after a year. Tons of micro transactions. Bleh. Hopefully, some VR mechanics can help.
I love Brazen Blaze (I also suck as Brazen Blaze). I know I’ve said this before, but with how physical it is and the amount of team coordination you can do, it’s not just an e-sport, but an actual sport “sport”. Especially if you play the PCVR version using a Kat Walk… because, you know, the game isn’t physical enough already!😂 If Brazen Blaze is a hit, I’d love to see Metaverse style arenas that surround the gameplay and watch live matches. #ShamelessFanboy
Have you seen that Meta confirmed they are still working on GTA San Andreas VR? They confirmed this in a comment on the Racket Club Body Movement Upgrade video on the Official Meta Quest YT Channel.
Most people have a pc. Facebook has ruined oculus, 500 dollars is not cheap. So if your going to dump 500 you might as well dump 550 for a way better headset. The Reverb G2 does not require sensors. Its basically a brother to the Rift S.
Great breakdown. I had the Quest 2 and 3 both since launch. The Quest 2 has provided me with so much value over the years but I agree that the Quest 3 is a significant upgrade. I just got the V77 upgrade last night and now I can pin multiple screens and windows where I want them. I have now relegated my Quest 2 as my fitness and local social headset for when my gf/friends are over. I was open to the Crystal Light but it just seems way too bulky and apparently, my RTX 3080 in my PC isn't even powerful enough to run it.
I hate you @Matteo311, ended up buying 5 VR games before I even finished the last minute of this video.. Keep up the great work man, love ya VR stuff! 😉❤️
Yea I would consider another 100$ on top for some accessories like a nice head strap (like the ones your sponsor Kiwidesign makes) it improves the experience a lot. Apart from that the Q3 is amazing and I have a PS5 as well. It’s just a very different type of gaming.
