The CVT seems rather fragile. What if I want to travel on rough roads in a remote area? What if I get stuck in snow or in a ditch and want to try to get out rather than calling a tow truck. I don't feel confidence with a CVT. I have always driven vehicles with a manual transmission, which is becoming extinct. With a manual, I know I can torture the drivetrain a little while getting out of a difficult situation and still be able to drive another 100,000 miles.
Would be awesome if they regain the RnD and manufacturing costs with the hydrogen version and would then bring out a version with straight EV. Maybe then much less costly.
Also SUV drivers thi k they are better then everyone else and expect all smaller car drivers to do whatever the suv wants. Like the suv driver acts like they own the road.
It is the futuristic and grim year of twenty twenty-four. In the current US election cycle, the "law and order" alliance of Whites and Mexicans are voting for the now-felon former Pres. Donald Trump, who has so far survived two assassination attempts. Meanwhile, the anti-police "Frankfurt School Jew + single mother" faction are championing a former DA who bragged about locking up nonviolent offenders. The hot topics of the day are the adoption of neural net technology for daily use and 3rd world countries fighting wars with robots. You've seen a pregnant man, an impossible burger, and surgery on a grape. Rockets land on their tail like 1950s sci-fi movies now. But the craziest thing of all is that your dream car is now... a Hyundai.
4:31 "they use engine power to produce engine power" Yep, superchargers suck, but so do turbos. Displacement adjusters are the way to go. Three pre-compression and three re-expansion cylinders on a secondary crankshaft that is connected to the engine via a CVT. Changing the relative velocity of the secondary crankshaft to the primary crankshaft changes the engine's working displacement while maintaining the perfect (perhaps 2.5:1) expansion to compression ratio. There's continual torque transfer to the crankshaft. Yep, pistons rule and turbos/superchargers drool.
