This was happening in Japan as well, but the world governments put a lot of pressure on Japan and they change the laws. I think people should put pressure on Korea the same way.

South Korea's divorce custody is a headache. The process is long. Westerners' common sense does not blend with South Korean laws and orders because South Korean common sense blends in with Confucius . In reality, justify corruption. If worse comes worse. Go back to the US family court and fight it out. You would probably have a better chance of winning and not wasting time and money for a better outcome.

Go after everyone and try to bring as much awareness, Hopefully they will get that they are being shameful and unjust. Keep strong I’m praying for your baby’s safe return. I still can’t fathom the American Embassy not helping. Don’t let them break your spirit, you are strong and a loving mother fighting for her children.
I've followed your story through other channels. As a mother and teacher, I can feel your pain. It seems to me that the legal framework is not only unfavorable for women and foreigners, but unfavorable for children. That is a crime in itself. Being in Europe, I'm unable to offer any substantial help, but I am thinking of you and your son and praying that things turn in your son's favor. His benefit is to be AT LEAST in touch with his mother and his siblings in his formative years.
Been through a similar experience.. my ex also got temporary custody even tho there was nothing against me and he is being investigated for child abuse because the police found that there are some signs of child abused.. he is still being investigated and he got full custody now that the divorce if finalized.. I have to live on knowing my children will be abused every single day.
Best of luck with suing that social worker! Have you thought about starting a twitter account? (I know it's called X now but I refuse to call it that!) It's easy to set up and you can use it to share much of the same content you already do on RU-vid. The lack of attention from the Korean media so far is frustrating. But if you ever want to write down and publish your story in a more long form article that you can share with anyone then the website Medium might be good. I know writing up an article is time consuming business, but there are plenty of supporters, myself included, who would be happy to help you write one. Keep fighting!

Can you get help from the government, considering they're trying for people to have babies in Korea and this would look so bad for them? You know about their population decreasing and very low birth rates

You are amazing. I know it's scary, but they underestimate motherhood. your MIL was expecting you to give up and disappear. Keep at it because they are not ready for the long run. Your husband and MIL will try to scare you, so you would miss up. stay focus and have a calm mind. I know not easy to do. I'm praying for you.
Exactly this. The husband, MIL and police all presumed they could ignore and threaten her and Courtney would just give up quietly. Instead this is going to backfire incredibly on them. Never stand between a mother bear and her cub.
