After driving a while now on DoorDash I’ve noticed I pretty much get the same type of offers on either. I also noticed the closer I got to 80% acceptance rate the less orders I received during dead times on per order. I also drove in a few different cities recently and see that some pay higher than others and at different times of day on per hour. I pretty much use pay per hour now. I have pretty high numbers now when I switch to per order but think pay by hour is better unless you are going to do a lot of cherry picking per order. Now I deliver less orders because you do get sent far out at times but again I was sent far out on both per order and per hour. I also have gotten those $10-20 tip orders on per hour. Find a part of town that pays higher per hour and better tippers. I average $18-30+ per hour doing this. Also I know it says the perks don’t work during per hour but there are times when I’m really far out and still getting orders that put me back in a zone. Sometimes I’m not sure what’s up with the algorithm. 😀 As far as that goes I do tend to deliver to the same people at times for an order out of the way.
I updated my doordash app and every since I can only due per offer orders I have tried to call and get help but it doesn't change it back to time. I'm not making any money. I have had all my credentials for on base and can be right beside the base not get any on base orders I have been driving fro DD FOR 4 YEARS and have only had about 15 on base orders my area code is different and they say it's not the problem and it shouldn't be.
The 3rd order i ever did on uber eats i got a $84 tip. $50 cash and $34 on the app. For only 5 miles. It was an upscale neighborhood but i wasnt expecting it!
I think that DoorDash try’s to give you an average hourly rate, so taking a couple smaller orders does usually line you up for a couple of other bigger orders, to give you your hourly average. Then you get in a flow. When you stop it resets and you might not even get one order.
I am watching this in june the other day I got a order $5 going 7 miles i declined it and then I got a catering order paying $15. After completing the total pay was $70. What if I took the first order. Doordash is like Russian roulette it scares me because I am afraid if I take one order, I’m gonna miss the next order that’s better. It’s crazy.
If you are late and you don't have any service where you are because there's an accident and you're waiting and the order happens to be late but you can't get in touch with the customer and you can't really do anything else because you don't have service... that is the issue that I am dealing with right now where doordash has locked my account and won't let me back in. I have disputed both of them because there are two but they say on their app that it is three violations and the account will be locked but I only have two on there from almost a month ago. I don't think that I did anything wrong because the situations that they're talking about we're out of my control and I let it be known when it was happening.
Certain Dasher Levels Should be allowed more dash time and only allowed to deliver the earn by time orders, so Full-Time Platinum Dashers can focus more on the "Premium Clients"...
i live in a town with a population of 30,000 lmao this is all just theoretical to me. I dash here and it's horrible, I make like $30 in 4 hours, I have to drive a couple hours to get to a decent town of around 250,000, but that's extra gas and wear on my car, I love dashing though! I can't wait to get out of this town.
I just signed up to be a dasher today with my ebike. Waiting ti be approved. I appreciate this video to see what I'm gettin into. I don't have the fancy bags yet or anything 😢
Wow, how fast is your bike. I have a Heybike Mars. Goes 20mph. I'm thinking of dashing. What did you do with the cup holders? I have 2 batteries but single port. I have similar bag. I can’t get on the schedule for nothing I tried everything I’m in nYC I go to the busy areas and everyone I hit dash now it doesn’t let me dash I contacted support but they tell me there isn’t any shift available… but y is it telling me I can dash them omg so frustrating
I believe you are very wrong about the algorithm. You state that the algorithm sends you orders you are most likely to take, but all I get sent is mostly $2, $3, and $4 orders, and I don't take them...If you what you say is true, they would stop sending me those orders..

Is it possible to add additional evidence you did not have at the time you initially submitted your dispute. I got a never delivered violation. To research I went to my three mileage tracker apps but all 3 had no pick up or drop off record for the order in question so I had nothing to show as record that I had a stop at the delivery address. My camera when I take pictures of my drop off order to complete orders in app are not saved to my phone. I assumed it was stored by Doordash. I could not complete with out the Pic so I know I had to take one. DD is asking for a photo of the delivered order. They have it, not me. Is there a way to find the Pic taken from within the dasher app? Does Doordash keep those photo's? Why take a Pic if no one stores it. Anyway, I submitted my dispute. Then a few days later while getting fuel with my Gasbuddy card I found the history of the drive for the violated order in their app. I had no idea they tracked my trips. How can I get this map history showing where I dropped off the food, added onto my dispute? The violation on my stats page says my dispute in pending review but there is nowhere to add additional proof I was at the delivery address. At the same time the order in questioned was completed in the dasher app?
My door dash suddenly stopped showing me estimated time on my offers. Which I see in the screenshot that it doesn’t show that for u either. How do u so it without knowing how long it’ll take u? The mileage just isn’t enough to determine that, and up until a few days ago it told me an estimated time it’d take me to make the delivery. Uber eats does, but door dash doesn’t give me that info anymore which makes it so much harder to know if it’s a good offer or not..
