Alright, I have two problems, one, I stink at the texas T but every latigo set only comes with two size straps. Secondly, even with an evenly distributed girth and almost too tight of a cinche, ,my saddle always slips during mounting and dismounting. I have a nonslip pad but yet, it always slips. Can I do the buckle style on both sides of the girth?

What is the board spacing in this stall? I have a large 30x40 run in with board spacing that measures almost 3inches in some places…. Mostly 2 inches. Penn state recommends a door height no greater than 3inches for safety so I think I’m good with what I have going (and I really like the airflow) BUT I hate the idea of finding one with a leg stuck! We have average sized horses. No minis or foals. Our board spacing seems similar to the spacing in this video.

I had bike insurance through Markel. My bike was stolen from my garage. They declined my claim because the thief didnt break into my garage, he just walked in, as if that matters. My bike was stolen and they denied the claim. BEWARE of Markel and READ THE FINE PRINT

Please don’t wear spurs when you’re not riding. If a horse clips the back of your heel you’ll shatter your heel, trust me it’s not comfortable!

Happened to me recently on a heavily wooded trail ride. The horse just wanted to run and didn’t care whether I was on her back or not. Very scary. Next time I might use the pulley method but I don’t want to be thrown (intentionally or not)

it's a tough life the glamour one sees on tv is rare trainers work hard hours you have to wake before sunrise and work in the evening people see dollar signs what they need is to make training a passion not reach for the dollar sign reach for integrity and knowing the work is very exhausting my co worker thought the training would be easier than her accounting career accounting is easy compared to racehorse training

Morgan's are a great breed. Aladdin, my Morgan, taught me so much and I had so much fun with him. He loved being groomed and would tug on my sweatshirt if I paused for too long to talk with a friend. Never had a problem bringing him in from the field for a lesson or a ride--he always came to me. I always had a big carrot he could see. I described him as sane, sound, close to the ground (14.2), the perfect little horse for me. He was a Mothers Day gift to myself in 2000 and was estimated to be 10-12 then. We showed in both English & Western Pleasure classes in schooling shows then rated shows. Did I say he was smart? He should have been named Houdini. I lost him Sunday, Jan 15, 2023. He was 33/35. He was part of my life for nearly a third of it and I miss him.

Anybody who's ever spent just minutes around horses know how dirty they get. And yet we're expected to wear white? Oh, that's hysterical, isn't it? The REAL test of horsemanship is, can you get that horse clean enough not to turn your white clothes tan or brown?

Modern polo originated in Manipur, a northeastern state of India. The Silchar (Assam) Polo Club was founded in 1859 by British military officers and tea planters, after Lieutenant Joe Sherer saw the locals playing polo and said, “We must learn the game!” From India, polo spread as fast as its enthusiasts could travel, appearing in Malta in 1868, England in 1869, Ireland in 1870, Argentina in 1872 and Australia in 1874. On a trip to England, James Gordon Bennett, publisher of the New York Herald, saw his first polo game. Early in 1876, he returned to New York with mallets, balls and a copy of the Hurlingham rules. The first game was played at a city riding academy; in the spring they moved outdoors to a field in Westchester County. That summer, the New York players took polo to Newport, R.I. Soon the galloping game was being played across North America.

I very carefully did this exact way to check for hooks and I KNEW that I could cut my thumb and was so careful but I did cut it. It is good way to check but always keep in mind, if the horse swings his head, you could get a cut finger. Thank you for you video. God bless
