I said this on another video, I LOVED that album. It will forever be part of the autobiographical soundtrack of my life. I hear any of the album and it reminds me of a summer, as a teenager, I spend working consecution with my grandpa. When I wasn't listening to him explain how to do something, I had my walkman on with the Blue Murder cassette in it all summer. In art class we were doing etched glass and I still have a mirror I did an etching of the Blue Murder album cover. It might not have sold a lot but those of us who bought it, loved it and still do.
Man - Kirk's a great player but =MS is just a genius - any doubters just listen to let it roll at 1:37 into track. Don't get me wrong Lights out and Obsession are legendary, but the feel on the Force it album is just master class. Ultimately what this shows is that the 70's dominated rock guitar. Throw on LOVEDRIVE by the Scorpions - the tone is just SAF! Sick as F!
IVE ALWAYS LOVED METALLICA ESPECIALLY FROM AND JUSTICE AND BE4...ESPECIALLY THE CLIFF BURTON DAYS WERE THE BEST. GOTTA SAY KURT IS THE NICEST COOLEST GUY FROM METALLICA..LARS U CAN EAT S..T
Michael Schenker was one of the premier melodic shredders in the early 70's. He could mix acoustic with metal and produce the most gorgeous contrasts in tone and color, and on the same track. The albums Phenomenon and Force It are must listen favorites. Some of the tastiest guitar you will ever hear. I cut my teeth on these albums. Learning to play these tunes will turn you into a guitar player. Promise.
I'm really sorry for your loss. I was just watching the video of AJ from the Bonzo Bash from a decade ago and he absolutely crushed it. A Beast on the kit. RIP.
It’s so cool, how Michael goes in and out of major and minor scales, which most heavy metal guitar players do not do. He’s harmonically so much more advanced harmonically than most rock or metal guitarists.
damn guys, one of the best covers I've listened to since SLAYER came out, big slices, great nice job great good work, wow!! Excellent attention to the raw and sharp sound as it should be, among other things very similar to the original, what can I say BRAVISSIMI!!
Krk not actually in key; technically speaking. Sweet guy, and his composed solos from the first 4 records are legendary, but his improv skills are…well, they suck.
Grunge came and went! Awful depressive stuff! Ok thats one thing that grunge thing ,if i recall it right the labels were looking for another typ of music due to the overmarketing of rock/hardrock just to build a new market on that grunge or whatever that was? And cold blodedly stopped rock bands from going on and if you have the right kind of supportive marketing team behind you you can even sell garbage and convince buyers/music listeners .... All you people outhere! We have something new for you! And so on. And if grunge messed up the rock music scene and it did partly of course! But how come then big rock names are still outthere playing selling albums it must be due to their hard workmanship lot of years behind them biggest names in the rock department and of course labels playing safe.... Theres still money in these bands lets play it safe! Who knows how long grunge project marketing will hold on? Thats the music bizz.
I’m hear for the comments from guitarists that can’t make a name for themselves talk down on one of the most successful metal guitarists in history.sucks he’s living your dream doesn’t it
