Spelled like EOX and pronounced like EOS according to Ruroc. 🤷 I WISH Ruroc would launch a modular version. That is all. I have the Carbon Nebula 4.0 and love it!
@@YankiRides I wish they had stayed with the same faceshield design so the 4.0 shield could be used with the EOX. I bought a photochromatic faceshield for my Carbon Nebula and I love it! But now I will not simply toss the 4.0 aside for an EOX for no reason other than to continue using the faceshield.
Sport bike rider sits leaning forward, helmet facing slightly downward so the sun is blocked by the brow area of the helmet. Tall chin guard doesn’t interfere with lower vision because the helmet is tipped downward and you can see over it. Adv. rider sits upright so peak helps block the sun. Use a sport helmet sitting too upright and the sun is blinding at the top of the face shield and a tall chin guard blocks downward visibility. That’s why Adv. helmets have an oversized field of vision & peak.
Great video dude. I'm glad you're here even after all the trials and tribulations you've experienced. I attended the 2018 DGR in Houston and it was an amazing experience. I really need to get my bikes up and running to do it again
Worldwide 112,000 riders participated this year raising $52.17 Million. That is incredible. I'm going to sign up for it next year I guess my closest city is Tampa, blah. Shitty city, great cause.
Great narrative on the video. Yeah it's all fun to go on such a well organized ride like this, but remembering the reason for it should not be lost in the fun. Good job. I'd love for our team on there to crack the $1000 mark next year, or even beyond. IG collabs next spring!!!
As a bipolar 2 guy Bro I'm so glad you carried the video this direction. I'm so glad I can call you a homie. True story not many know. The Smort thing saved me. Yall giving me ,Rand and Ghost the platform to create in a space not of our own saved me. Suffering from depression sucks to no extent. I actually went through the heaviest low at this DGR, and being around my friends helped vastly. People know most of my battle currently but something they don't know is my son developed cancer. He's been in chemo for 3 months now. I'm at the point where I don't care to put this out there. Anyway thanks for this video and thanks for being a friend. I needed them both
Talking about it is hard. But the hard topics are the best to talk about. Even if it’s only to say it out loud, it can help. There is power in sharing. I appreciate you sharing and I appreciate you.
What a great video and tribute to a friend…I too am older and love her content…it’s truly refreshing to watch…thank you and now I am following you as well…looking forward to catching up on your videos as well…thank you and safe travel…
i would say most adv/dirt boots heal would be enough to flamingo it pretty safely. you will have to tap dance a little at stops, but you are stopped far less than you are moving, so its worth it to give it a shot!
i enjoy "Doodle" because she is one of the few bike content creators who doesn'tt feel the need to include profanity in their posts. Way too many think they are being "cool" or bold throwing four letter words into their content. She always comes across calm and collected. Focused. Especially on learning. Amanda Zito of "As the Magpie Flys" too.
To keep it electrically reliable a heavier earth cable and good earth connection to stator and rest of bike will help a lot. Those 800 tigers seem very durable, Alan Sanders took one round the world doing well over 50000 miles on african roads, desert with rough terrain and it stood up. Thats a great ad for it and theyre now been out for years. Yes the crash bar bolting into engine case is bad however but taking care is the main thing.
Great triple motors even old triumphs. A great, durable, well designed workhorse in the real world. Maybe a few electrical charging system gremlins and sprag clutch is now reliable unlike some 1990s triumph 900 motors. I luv the torque and handling. Lovely to ride. The 675 daytona and 1700 thunderbird is my dream.
Doodle is one of my favorite RU-vid channels. I am subbed. But I'll tell you what. I got a new channel to sub to. That is going to be YankiRides. I like your style. Very laid-back. Plus. I'm not sure if you know but you sure as hell look like a young Dennis Hopper! I'll be looking for your Easy Rider episode.
I'm a Huge Fan of Miss Doodle, it was a few years back i retired from Harley-Davidson and while looking for things to do in a New Hampshire winter i discovered a bunch of young motorcycle riders starting their journey and as i'm coming near the end of my riding years (hope another 10 or more) i was curious where my lifestyle was going with these new riders, and even though i'm just one of their many viewers and they may not even know who i am, i feel like i know them and i often like i am here comment on their content, it's been fun watching them especially the newer ones, i've been riding 60 years this sept (started in the dirt when i was 5 and licensed at 14) So it's fun watching all the new adventures, and it also helped get me off my ass at almost 65 years old i'm taking a ProRider class next month, But love Doodle, Her two Wheels, Josh and Chey, and others closer to my age lol, this is my 1st time on your channel but i'll be back
This kind of stuff is why I love the motorcycle community. I get close to “giving up” some times, and it’s people like those you have mentioned that remind me why I’m in it. Love your story!
Just curious, Did the helmet have enough space to use the Clip mount for the Cardo packtalk? and are the speakers behind the pad or on the pad? (earpad) Just got my XT9000 in the same color and I love it! thank you for the video.
I've been watching her for awhile. The biggest thing I've noticed is that she's clearly become a much better rider than I am, which wasn't the case when I started watching her.
Street motocamping and off-road motocamping are slightly different beasts, but your advice is solid. The gear for off-road needs to be lighter and smaller.
thats a fair point. its also worth mentioning, that like people, bigger bikes can generally carry more than little ones, so each use case will be a little different. solid advice on the lighter packout on off-road motocamping
@@YankiRides hopefully the JBL's will fill you in on the dinner plans next time! lol We'll schedule out better for SmortCon!! (and it's closer than f'n Illinois) BTW, you and D3 get to plan out an ADV ride day! lol
lol.. gotta love going as far as you can with people you have a good time with. keep up the fun and here is to this eclipse making this year something special. cheers.
I love being in a small town (population about 3500), but I'm only about 30 minutes from a big city (I also work in said big city). Everything I need is close enough, but I don't have to deal with people.
@@YankiRides My only complaint is I have to ride through the city to get to the Colorado mountains. But once I'm in the mountains it's totally worth it.
@@chrissturgeon8455 it's the Mach V Commander from 509. They my helmet sponsor!! Woo. It's got an integrated Cardo Unit and is ECE 22.06 compliant. Pretty neat!
@@ghostontwowheels Interesting looking helmet! I'll have to look into the non-Commander version. Not a knock against Cardo (have one on my other helmet). I just can't bring it into work.
its funny you say that... one of the guys on the pan America trip was super tall, he mentioned that its hard to be comfortable because when he is sitting, he gets crunched up tight. i had never thought about being too tall for bikes until then
