You have to choose a specialization target in your master's rather than just going for an MS in Chem Eng. What are the areas that have increasing demand ? Which specializations lead to good career outcomes? Which of these areas are you personally interested in? You need to answer these questions first before choose a Master's degree. Hey that's a good transition. Apart from your MS Networking Engineering course, also make sure you get advanced certifications courses related to Cloud Computing. I'm not sure about your interests but taking up specialization courses in IT Security Assurance (Cyber-Sec) would also add to your profile. Hey Manasi, if you have to self-sponsor your entire education with minimal dependency on family, I would say that's a slightly considerable risk you're taking. And any particular reason why you chose ASU's DS program? It's a recently started program with little track record or alumni to network with.
