Hi dear... How is everything. What are you working on off line...? This is quite a project you have going here.... Looking forward to see how it goes. Jackie
Hi Leigh, I think every video from you I learn something. Today was no exception. I've never used acetate before so thanks for showing how to do it. Also previous videos think you said you would leave in description box a link from where you got things from? But I couldn't see it. Last one window with lady reading printed on acetate and the other one lady with dragonfly you did the pocket thingy. Think you said Romany something digital. Anyway, another informative, relaxing video.
Thank Toni, acetate is great fun to play with. I've put the link to the window digital into that video's description box. No luck with the dragonfly lady though. It was a freebie on the Collage Soup website but doesn't seem to be there anymore. They have some cheap kits available for 99c USD and a couple of other free items, have put a link to that page in the video description box. Cheers
@@tonimason8737 I just found another of their books that has a couple of the dragonfly ladies in it. It's called 'only the hits', it's a cheap on. Here's a link if you want to check it out. www.collagesoup.com/ebooks/p/only-the-hits
Way too gorgeous! 😱🤩😍. I absolutely love this. And when I start my altered book, I will have to try it. It looks so amazing. And it’s going to look even more amazing when you do the next page. You have my email address if you ever make that decision. 😉 You have so many unique and fantastic ideas. I’m going to go try to emboss some plastic pieces now. Big hugs for all the inspiration! ❤️🤗😍
Ah now come on Leigh we like your radicalism ! 😁 I learned so much on this one. Tyfs 🩷🌷I didnt know gesso came in black. Know how you like your black framing.😊 I really would like to get one of those embossing machines! Great using your premade tabs too!
So happy to have come across your channel Leigh you’re such an inspiration. I would of said dump or tip. I’m the other side of Brissie on the GC - overcast today and back to winterise conditions. Keep up the great work!
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. So many tips and tricks to try out. I don’t, at this stage of my artsy journey, have the capacity to draw faces and voila, along came this video! What a great way to jump out of my comfort zone. Can’t thank you enough Leigh p ❤❤❤❤
It's so fun and must be something in the air that many of us have been doing altered books. Lisa sent me the link. Love your window ❤❤❤ Nice to hear your lovely voice too!
Thank you so much Cheran. There definitely does seem to be an altered book vibe going. This book has been butchered and was thrown aside, found it again and thought I'd finish it off despite the pages not being removed in a logical way. It is growing on my now. Lisa is a darling isn't she. xx
Hi there! Blessings from the UK. I just had to subscribe it would be a crime not to. Your videos are really inspiring and I absolutely adore your creativity 💖
So gorgeous! I just love your art. For some reason it just touches me. It’s always so relatable and inspirational at the same time. 🤷🏻♀️ I suppose I would never be able to talk you into selling this journal 😂. But I most definitely understand. This is so lovely. I want to try it in my Halloween journal. Thanks for sharing all your beautiful inspirations. Always excited to see the next one! Hugs ❤️🤗
Thank you so much for your kind words Tamara, thrilled to hear that my work has inspired you. Remember, creativity is a journey, and every step you take is a step forward! Have fun with your Halloween journal. Hugs & cheers ❤❤❤ PS hadn't thought about selling this one, it's a bit of a mess, might make another one. Have done more work in it since this video which you will see in the next two videos. xx
Wonderful, good to hear you tried that method. My tinfoil was thin and pressed down too much in my opinion. So glad you got better results than me. Cheers
Leigh i noticed when you collage your scraps you dont lay any across the center to strengthen spine. You gessoed over. I was just wondering why you choose this way? Ty There is something i find so intriguing about windows and frames . Looking forward to the pocket idea too! Happy labour day to you! ❤ from Canada 🍁
Hi Jayne, great question. Because I've made a mess of removing pages by taking out too many at a time, there is a sort of gully in the spine, about 1/4 inch wide filled with the remnants of the pages. I think if I'd papered over it, the paper would eventually collapse into the gap. Hope that explains the reason for doing that. Cheers
Just checked the book, it doesn't have the big gap with the page scraps but the one before it does and the gap is really weird, it's like a little retaining wall is under the paper on either side. Would have to show you what I mean, can't think how to describe it. Cheers
What a gorgeous technique! I have gilding paste that I have yet to use. But this is so beautiful, I will definitely give it a try. I have some lovely embossing folders as well. Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic idea. You are always full of great inspiration! Hugs ❤️🤗
