Oh, I love the stencil - have been to your shop and downloaded the files to cut on my Cricut (like I need any more stencils - I design many of my own as it is, but yours are great)!
Lovely creation though 🥰 Please can you let which website did you buy your metallic watercolor paint your using I would like to add it on my wishlist. Thank in advance ❤
Keep forgetting this technique; I have a gel plate and alcohol inks. Note to self an airco is nice buuuut not so handy when your table is in front of it. I can still see a hose of confetti spray on the airco machine. Husband; at least it shows artsy love..... bwahaha imagine if that was on my curtains :P
I first came across you working on snowy scenes many man years ago. You made me believe I could watercolor, inspired me to begin, and taught me to enjoy the process. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Hello Heather - it is lovely watching you share your creativity. I am definitely not an artist but you have given me the ok to go ahead and give this a go because you make it look so doable. Thank goodness I have this particular stamp. Wishing you and your family a blessed and happy Holiday.
Love these leaf prints - love all the assorted colors you’ve used, specially the gold. Thank you Heather for sharing your creativity with us. Enjoy your weekend.
Thank you for showing your beautiful techniques for making these stunning prints. I thoroughly enjoy your beautiful cards and just love how you make your gel prints - your elegant style is my absolute favourite. Blessings .....
What a great video! Thank you for showing what the print looks without adding the second layer of paint... I think my favorite technique was the last one...very clever and so effective! Do you take most of your prints with just printer paper? Why not cardstock??
Thank you for your encouraging words. I take most of my prints on paper because I never know exactly what they will be used for. Some become cards, some are collaged or used in my art journals.
Thank you, I love using this technique when I have flowers and grasses on hand. I save a few for winter and they work but eventually get too dry and brittle.
Very nice! You said you used printer paper and not card stock. I'm curious as to whether the printer paper warped? and what glue you would use to hold it onto the card itself?
So glad you liked the technique. When I pulled the print with printer paper the alcohol ink was dry and the paint was a very thin layer so the paper didn't warp. I use double sided adhesive sheets or roll to attach the panel to my card front but you could use a glue stick.
So much fun to watch you pull this print! Never heard of T-Rex alcohol inks before....are they something new? Any difference between them and Ranger's AI? Thanks for the video...just love the idea of using alcohol inks on gel plate!
I'm not sure whether T-Rex are new; I heard about them through a friend. I find them similar to Ranger and they come in slightly bigger bottles for a lower price.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. I used white paint to pull the print because the technique with the stencil required the alcohol ink to dry on the plate. Once it is dry I need the thin layer of wet paint to lift everything.
