“Capture at least one vessel for interrogation.. then destroy the rest.” You can hear the repressed anger. He doesn’t know why they would do such a thing, but he knows he needs to avenge the fallen.
I wodner if this game is working properly, i get no time to make frigates, the point of the mission was to build up your fleet i thought, but you dont get a single chance and i barely finished the cryopod mission, now i just get raided at start and have like 2 frigs.. 0 units and resources
Remastered or original? I have the remastered version but I never played it this far since the orignal release in 1999... I guess I have to retry remastered for gits and shiggles.
For some stupid reason this has stuck in my mind since I played the original 20+ years ago 3:17 the way the Kadesh envoy is so serious yet flips his ship and flies off in a flippant manner.
I remember being so happy when this remaster was announced and preordered it. This is part of why I no longer preorder games as I tried 3 different playthroughs over the first patches and the scripting kept bugging out in ways that would result in missions just not finishing, ships not unlocking for research (!) or otherwise blocking progress.
how did u get 12k resources at the beginning of the mission, i harvest absolutely everything after each mission and i still run on edge of being broke all the time. makes me think i really suck at this game. not to mention im playing it blind and came into this one with super heavy fleet which turns out to be useless against superior fighter units...
If you build up your fleet in the previous mission, this mission becomes impossible to do, I had seven frigates attacking and by the time I get my ships into combat all the cryo ships get destroyed. So the game is now designed to screw you over if you make sure you collect all the resources and upgrade and have a strong fleet. Talk about screwing up a great classic.
When you buy the remastered edition, you have also bought the classic. The classic comes packaged with the remastered. The easiest way to get the entire package is to purchase it from Steam. Once you have installed it and run it, it will first take you to a game launcher that would let you choose between remastered and classic versions. You do not need to have powerful hardware if all that you are going to do is to run the classic version exclusively.
It was to make people creative with their tactics on how to deal with this problem - there are numerous ways how to deal with this mission. some involve creative use of force - some of tactics - some rely on duping the fleet - some on it's destruction. Bascially it's a test of players creativity or lack of it in which case heavy toll is exacted (which usually means reloading :D).
Its even more sad that they are retreating to the Khar-toba wreckage as a last resort to save whats most precious to them(and what brought them there). For all their threats and seemingly alien way of behaving as a facade they are just frightened animals wanting to survive desperately scarred by a horrible past of near extinction. Rest in peace Kadeshi siblings.
@@strategicsage7694 not retconned: there are fighters in the somtaw fleet in homeworld cataclysm that look a lot like kadeshi ships. like same engine layout.
@@Irobert1115HD That doesn't at all imply the Kadeshi survived. The Kushan regularly made ships, to the point of it being a memeish thing, inspired by the enemies they encountered. Even if that wasn't the case, it would only change the point at which the lore was retconned, not *if*.
If you play the Bridge of Sighs right, this mission really is a cakewalk. Yeah, you have to kinda remember where the Taiidan spawn in, but once they do, and you defeat them, the Emperor is open to a classic ass-whoopin'!
