We are working to capture some automotive adventures. We buy, sell and build old cars. We spend a lot of time looking for old vintage car parts from the 1920s thru the 1960s. We'll be digging out old cars and trying to find new homes for them! We hope you enjoy the adventures.
If you have any leads around Oklahoma please shoot us an email, but we'll travel father if there's plenty of junk to dig through!
I have a late 38 with an early 2 brush generator and a voltage regulator. Same problem that at idle it puts out around -2 amps and when I turn on the lights it gets to -20. How do you set the amp output on a 2 brush gen?
Ive got a 4x4 chunk of maple that i drilled a slightly larger hole than 1/4 inch and i just pull the coil of brake line through it,perfectly straightens the line.
Nice... all depends on the motor and if it's worn out or new. My 8ba runs 55# on start, then after it warms up around 30#... I've heard from some older guys they had problems with their engine and could barely get 5-10#. So it just all depends on your engine. Good luck with it!
@@chaddilacdesigns thank you.i just drove it a parade ran 180 water temp. the oil pressure looks really bad because we have a 0-100 gauge .like 0 to 5 maybe 10.we put straight 50 wieght in it,
I think max is like .100 only... I've seen guys run them with .125 but I would think that the early backing plates with lower adjuster would help in that case. That's just my brain justifying keeping and running the ones that are turned too much. LOL!

Cool video. I’ve read about how to do this but never seen or done it myself. Was wondering if you were going to replace pinion bearings or rebuild rear since you might have gotten welding splatter on the exposed bearings when you welded driveshaft coupler pins in place.
The way I've done all mine is cut the torque tube to fit and what ever you cut out of torque tube is the same length you cut out of the drive shaft. Never had an issue. And I always use the 46 style radius rods they are shorter and disappear quicker under the frame.
Suggestion on revealing the old signage. First, there ain’t nuthin wrong with how it looks now! But I would be curious about the old advertising, too. Try using a “safe stripper”, one of the citrus based ones. I’ve had great luck with these because they work slowly, much less aggressive than solvent based strippers. This gives some control as you work through the layers. Maybe try a test panel, with a fine scotch brite pad to blend the paint layers. Great project, and great channel.
Love it....if you don't love the original lettering.... I wonder what your channel logo and lettering would look like (font/style) if it was around in the 30's???? Could be cool.
I've thought of that, I like it with the black so much if I reveal the lettering and I don't like it there's not turning back. So I'm unsure if I want to do it just yet lol!
There wasn't any issues loading it, we just drug it out in the open so we could straighten the trailer then the winch did all the work without problems.
I'm with you !!--keep it as "stock as you can"-what worked for henry, works for every one,-if you want some "fancy car"with all da "doo-dads"-get a "fiber--glass"-piece of "crap"---(jeezez--those "pendalum-pedals"-looked awful !!)--
