What is that platform your standing on. I have a metal roof on my barn that needs a small repair but I'm concerned I'll slide off. What's the secret to walking on a metal roof safely?
Yeah, they’ll survive, but they will be damaged….solar panels lose an average of 2% efficiency a year due to solar flare activity that damages the panels which is essentially an EMP or many.
10 years later on my DIY standing seam snaploc 22-squares roof I realize I installed the seam boots wrong. Gonna have to pull them off and do what this video shows...
It was less how high he had it and more that he didn't secure it. People have this belief with extension ladders that once you slide it out the ladder magically stays in place and that it never slides back in until you will it. This guy learned the hard way that the ladder extends and collapses the same way and with the same force. People should understand ladder safety but most people seem to lack the sense that knowing ladder instructions is a large part of being safe with them.
Bet you he finishes exactly when he says he will though. A guy like that will likely only miss a single promised project completion in his career if you know what i mean. He wont be punching the list because he punched a ticket if you know what im talking about.
I'm wondering what you would do sir? You're not getting any kind of equipment between those houses... Get rock/ I've climbing gear? Tie it off to a truck and lock it out? Realistically... Come on. I see A LOT more variables I'm tying off to a truck. For the future damage caused the house by anchoring to the trusses then what I see right now. By the way this is almost one of the oldest tricks in the book electrical tape and the gun isn't strapped to a 2 x 4. This seems much safer to me but i am pretty ignorant with things
