If you are taking on a roof repair project on your own, you need to know about shingle bond spacing. This one tip will save you time and money by allowing you to isolate your repair area and not have to remove unnecessary shingles around the affected spot on the roof.
Making a bond is simple! As long as you keep the recommended 6" bond spacing between shingles then it won't effect the way the shingles work. Using this knowledge you can cut shingles to create a bond, and as long as there isn't any edges lining up from the shingles above or below, it won't compromise the integrity of the area.
