Made one of my first videos there a year ago. Yours was much better. lol. In Santa Fe until the end of July if you wanna dig and shoot a video together. After that I will be digging up Herks the rest of the summer in New York.
@@InnerCompass22 hell yea! I’m busy in Colorado until August when I start working again full time. But definitely open to mining together in the future!
@@ninjatoCO Very cool. Can't wait to see how you create rings with them. I was just opal mining at Rainbow Ridge Opal Mine in nw Nevada a few weeks ago. Found some great opals I'd like to polish and do something with. Do you have an instagram?
These look very, very small compared to the overwhelming amount and size coming from South America. Chinese own many mines in Brazil and such. I think currently China invests heavily and offers reach to very high quality Beryls.
Yes I have purchased a few stones that originated from Brazil from the Colorado Gem and Mineral show (huge). I have a friend from Brazil who mines for all sorts of gems and sells them for a living. However, their color and clarity doesn’t compare to the stones I’ve mined from Mount Antero. Also yes the ones I have found are small (at least on film). They hit a $30,000 pocket while I was there and those specimens were stunning. Go follow Mount Antero Treasures for more finds up there.
Oh very cool! 🤷🏼♀️ I was just having fun at one of my favorite hang out spots. I actually haven’t brought the detector out anywhere in a very long time. I should get back out there.
Glad I found this video! I love deckers for pegmatite minerals. The road up to Raleigh peak has some real crumbly pegmatite cliffs that are fun to look around in. Always good to see other female rock hounds. Sometimes it’s a sausage fest
🤣 yes! I actually just got back from a New Mexico mining trip. I almost couldn’t find anyone to go with me! Luckily I did, but damn you would think people would wanna have some fun. 🤷🏼♀️
Amazing work! Snow sculptures and ice sculptures have a power to transform peoples perceptions and consciousness. Being out side and working with nature it self is a victory regarless if the sculptures turns out good or not.
There is a hike/trail that borders the claim. You can look up active claims online to avoid conflict when hiking. Some claims will have posted signs as well. Some people respect this, others don’t. 🤷🏼♀️
Yo they put ads on your video.. RU-vid owes you money 😂 I'd like to suggest adding more context in the videos so us viewers feel more apart of it. I think for your style of video, adding your voice narrating over the video would work wonders for keeping the viewers more engaged
Hi Tanya, Im really bummed I didnt get to meet you and dig with you when you were here. Be sure and let me know when your headed back this way? Tracie Cardwell
Tracie, I live in Broomfield and would love to visit this year if possible. I’ve been thinking about Mount Antero and miss it up there! I would love to meet you! ❤️🙏🏻
Sorry for the late reply I’m not the best at checking comments! Yes they have showers but I’ve found that the locker rooms can get over crowded and available showers can be limited. If you go during the weekend, get out before your time is over so you can beat the mass flood to the locker rooms. Every hot spring I’ve gone to thus far has had showers, some even require that you shower before hand. I hope that helps!
@@ninjatoCO thanks! I actually went in December because of your recommendation/ video. It was a great experience, we schedule our time at 9AM 😊 we are glad we went before the crowds starting rolling in!
I got to thinking to myself it would be cool to see the brewery. Was just like any other brewery I’ve been to Miller’s brewery. Pretty sure it’s no different. But what makes this brewery so special is the only beer I drink . Keep it Rockies.
Not sure if you know this but … just some helpful advice. A metal detector has to be in motion in order to pick out the target. You want to swing the coil flat to the surface of the ground, just slightly above the ground. The only time it will, or should, give you a signal while stationary is when the “ Pinpoint “ feature is activated. Try swinging the coil slowly. The tones you are hearing could be caused by a couple of factors. The first is that your coil wire should be wrapped around the shaft minimizing cable swing that can cause a false signal. The other is, as with most detectors, when the coil is or has had contact with the soil ( ground surface ) and is moved away from the surface, it is sensing the change in current and giving a false signal tone. That fact that you are making the effort and enjoying it is what matters. Don’t give up, hope this helps you find some good treasures. Be blessed and stay safe.
🙃Ya got some treasure/trash from the river the treasure is the memory of a peaceful forest outing . You got patience using a pin pointer however a metal detector will save your back 🤔 . Nice vid ✌️
I know I was waiting on my metal detector in the mail but spent a few hours at that spot just hanging out enjoying nature…figured I’d test out a new toy. 😂
Area looks interesting but it's really hard to watch to much movement from side to side zoom in zoom out. If your using a phone try moving it slower and steady for future videos. It will help alot. Other then that beautiful view.
Glad I can help! It’s always worth it if you can visit both! I really love the food and drink options at Iron Mountain. It’s also super nice when you can snag a pool for just your group…depends how busy it is. Enjoy!!!
I know I ended up researching the event, I’ll be sure to be there next year with my professional camera and some warm coffee. 🌞 I heard the fireworks from where I live but didn’t see them! Pretty cool, love Golden.
Still can’t believe we missed each other. I think I was waking back to my car during this race. I remember photographing that dragon boat as they were getting registered. Fun day!
At 14,000ft in altitude there’s not much water on top of that mountain until it rains…hard to get up there at all let alone get water up there. Sometimes we take spray bottles but the large pieces are quite easy to spot without any water. People do pan at the lower claims though!
