👏👏 yay… great to see you uploaded a video. We never had chance to experience Doha as we had a very swift transit (1hr) to catch the flight to Katmandu. It looks amazing what you did in a short space of time, we didn’t realise Doha was so nice! - it shows what you can see and do cheaply on a layover. Have a great weekend, look forward to your next upload. Take Care
Thank you Claire 😁 ... Wow! 1 hour that's cutting it fine 🙈 There would have been no chance of a quick excursion lol. Oh yeah, Doha is great. We will go back there for sure. I bet its not long until you go away now is it? Exciting stuff! Have a fab weekend too Claie 😊 Take care.
@@NathandHannah unfortunately our flight departing from Brum was delayed by 40 minutes! I had been watching the departure times a few weeks prior and if it was 10-15minutes delay that was it! So arrival into DOHA was a run through to the next departure gate wearing a big rucksack and puffy jackets 🥵 Yes, next month we fly to Sri Lanka with Emirates from Brum, our 1st time flying with them, thankfully a longer transit time. Safe travels
TmReslky loved your series and big well done. Have a couple of questions. What you used for filming ? and mic ? as sound was perfect. Also for him what model was the Rab down jacket ?
Hey. Thanks for your kind words, we appreciate it 😁 For 90% of it we use a gopro hero 11 with a media mod. We have modified the mic though by gluing mic foam to it to help reduce wind sound. For this particular video & our Teahouse video we had a rode micro mic connected to the gopro. We also have an insta 360 for some of the action shots 📷 Both of our Rab jackets are the Rab Axion Pro and they kept us warm, plus we use them all the time on camping trips and hiking back in the UK 👍🏻
@@NathandHannah Thank you very helpful. Big thumbs up again for this series, really enjoyed it. I am from Malta Europe, if you ever need any info about here just ask.
Awwe, thank you James 😁 You would have been in your element 📷 ... We did say while we were there actually that you would manage to get some amazing photos 👌🏻 Hope you are okay? 😊
👏👏 we were looking forward to your next video after your trek and you never disappoint. Great footage of the animals in their natural habitat, as you said they looked healthy. Looking forward to watching your next adventure. 👍
@@NathandHannah hi, next trip for us is a cycling trip around Sri Lanka. It’s looks a nice place, and we are really looking forward to it. What about yourselves, are you planning more trips in the camper van? Have a great BH weekend, hopefully it’ll be dry in the Mids for us all. Take care
@@ClareFD Wow! What an experience that will be. Sri Lanka looks amazing too. I bet you can't wait. We do have some campervan trips planned yes which we are looking forward to 😁 ... Fingers crossed it will be dry the BH weekend. Hope you have a good one too. X
As this video is 2 years old you've probably done it by now, but if not - you can attach a ziptie to the rear door mechanism then add a lanyard to that which sticks out the top of the door card. Then you can open from the inside 👍
Aww thank you guys, that's so kind of you. Hope you're both doing well. Hmm, I think a little trip to puffin island may be on the cards 🤔😂 Hope you've had a nice weekend 😊
Hi This is so useful, we are heading there later this year. Can I ask a few questions? Which vaccinations did you have? Not sure whether to have Rabies/Hep B and Cholera. Did you get your Nepal Visa on arrival at the airport? I think you said your day bags were 30L?
Hiya, Awesome, that sounds amazing! We didn't get any vaccinations for this trip. I'd say the best thing to do is book an appointment with your local GP and they will have your vaccination records on file and will be able to advise and give you specifically what you need. We did this for a recent trip to Tanzania and ended up with 3 jabs. Yes, the visa was done at KTM airport. They have some computer touch screens there to fill out the details and then you pay at the desk. (Be prepared to queue!) I think you had to pay in Nepalese Rupees but the money exchange bureau is there too if you need. Yes, 30L day bags. No strict requirements that's just the size of the backpacks we own. We also had 80L duffle bags that the amazing porters carried for us. The limit for the duffle bags is 10KG max. Hope all of this helps 😁 ... Any other qurstions that you have please feel free to ask. 🤙🏻✌🏻
@@user-iv7wu1jn9k No problem. Haha its good to be prepared though. We wish we knew a few more things before we went which is why we wanted to put this video together. We didnt actually know much about Diamox untill we were on the trek & most of the group were taking it. We bought some from Namche Bazar as Hannah had a mild head ache. From personal experience it seemed to help us aclimitise better. We took Diamox from day 1 on our recent Kilamanjaro Trek and we had no Aclimitisation issues apart from the un avoidable exhaustion from taking on these challenges. Always consult your GP first though and consider the side effects as they effect people differently. 😁
@@user-iv7wu1jn9k Hiya, yes deffinenatly get helicopter cover & 5500m. Our group had 2 helicopter rescues whilst we were there. We have travel insurance through our joint bank account (Nationwide) we added on the Hazardous activities package which covers all the altitude Trekking, heli rescue ect. I notice that alot of people on these trips use Trailfinders for insurance too. Hooe this helps
Im going to stavanger in july, can anyone tell me if I should book the pulpit rock hike through the cruise line or through a local company when we dock?
Hi, Our best advice for this particular trip would be to book through your cruise line as the start of the hike is about 1hr away from the port plus they will wait for you if your late. ⛰
Hi Sam, That's lovely of you to comment. We are glad you love the videos 😊 That's strange. We haven't come across any message from you 🤔 ... If you try and send another one we can keep an eye out 👍🏻 ... We aren't active on Instagram on a daily basis but do check in atleast once a week to catch up when we aren't posting.
Hi guys. Great video! We are heading over to Belgium in our camper. Could you please let me know whereabouts you parked in both Bruges and Ghent. Many thanks 😊
Hey Pete, sounds exciting. Il do my best. Both are pretty easy to find once there. Bruges I believe is Campground bargeweg right next to the coach parking. Ghent was watersportbaan and had a shuttle bus into town. Have a great trip 🇧🇪
Well what can i say,, That was fantastic, i didnt cry when you reached the top because i'm a proper man 🤐but my wife was in floods of tears..so proud of you guys and you should be proud of yourselves..well done!
Awww, thank you so much Tippers 🥰 It was a huge wave of emotion for both of us at the summit so we're glad that has come across in the video ❤ You're so sweet guys. We are 😊 Have a great week guys and we'll catch you soon x
Thank you Tony 😊 We did have an amazing time apart from the toilet 😂😂 ... Haha! All fun and games in the outdoors lol. We hope you are having a nice week. Have you managed to get out walking much in Yorkshire now the weather is picking up a bit?
Absolutely, out and about most weekends unless they’ve been a total washout. We have a new German Shepherd puppy. I say puppy, she’s 8 month old already, so she keeps us super active 😄Off to the Lake District Easter weekend so happy days 😄 Hope you’re both doing something back home in Claudia 😄
@@tonystrange7224 that's brilliant Tony. Glad you are getting out and about most weekends 😁 ... N'awwww. I bet she is so adorable yet has a cheeky side haha! The Lakes will be fabulous. We hope you have a fantastic time 😊 We are going to Edinburgh with friends over the Easter Weekend which we are looking forward to. We do have some trips planned with Claudia throughout the year and are hoping to take her overseas again after the summer 😁 x
@@NathandHannah hi, we absolutely loved the EBC trek with Evertrek, it was hard work physically and emotionally, but what an achievement and beautiful country. We have booked the Inca Trail trek, and discussing the Annapurna Circuit Trek (money and work get in the way 😆)
@@ClareFD awww, so glad that you absolutely smashed it! Well done guys 🥳 It is a fab achievement. We have heard that Evertrek are really good too. Oh no way! .. The Inca Trail is on our Bucketlist too. When are you going there? Yes, the Annapurna Trek looks beautiful doesnt it?! 😍 It is such a gorgeous country like you say. Yes! Haha! There's not enough time or money to do everything is there?! 🙈 We find the more you do, the more you want lol xx
@@NathandHannah hiya, we are doing the Machu Picchu via Tomacaya route - The Hidden Valley with Evertrek May 2025. Evertrek are great as you can book a few years in advance and change the dates if you need to. Their Tuesday Tune In podcasts are a brilliant source of information. There’s so much exploring to be done.
Good to see you both back and on another adventure, this time in Africa. Can’t get Toto out of my head now As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti, I bless the rains down in Africa 😂 Anyway looking forward to the upcoming episodes. All the best 😀
Thank you Tony! It's so lovely of you to comment and it's made us smile 😁 Haha! Yes, that song did spring to mind alot throughout 😂 ... We hope you are keeping well 🥰
Awww, thank you James 🥰 We had an amazing adventure. The next vlog will be updated on Sunday. We hope you are okay and are still getting out and about places 👌🏻😁
Hi Luke, Exciting stuff! It's not long at all now 😁 I can't quite remember the exact amount we tipped. Obviously there is no correct amount but our CEO gave our group 2 envelopes and suggested the amount to give. I'd say it was around $200 per person between the 2 envolopes. But it could have changed as our trip was nearly a year ago now. I hope this helps. The G team do work extremely hard and provide an excellent service to make the trip as comfortable as possible. Have a fantastic time! 😁
@@lukepiper7332 Hi Luke, I cant remember exactly what we spent but we went off an average of $30 per person per day. You will spend less at the start and finish but more above 4000m but as an average $30 per day. We payed on card at Gorakshep & Lukla and there was a cash machine in Namche but my best advice is get all of your money out at the airport as the cash machines are temperamental and charge alot. 👍🏻
Thats brilliant! Thank you so much for commenting. We are very glad this has been helpful for you. You will have a fab time in October. Super excited for you! 😁
You guys lost me with some of this video. You obviously haven’t roughed it much. I’m not sure what you were expecting. I’m glad you went for the higher end tea house and not all the rest of us.
Hey guys! This is such an informative video. What was your trekking dates ? My wife and I are doing the trek on 29th of March. Was wondering if we will encounter snowfall.
Hi guys, that's awesome! We started our trek on 25th March so practically the same time as you guys. Yes you will more than likely have snow, we had snow at Namche on day 3 ❄
