For many many years I dreamed of owning a fine Rowenta iron. Had the usual complaints on low-end irons, replacing every 2-3 years. Last year I finally made the investment-$149 for the Steam Force. Loved it until it started pouring puddles out from under the soleplate when standing on its heel. Not just spitting, pouring. Makes a terrible racket when cleaning. Can’t find repair shop. Tempted to take it apart myself, but don’t want to risk ruining it for dry ironing.
The Rowenta SteamForce iron is TRASH! ...had mine less than 6 months before it started leaking (badly), and the display started flickering/not registering correctly! Also, the steam burst button started working intermittently! smh ...really disappointed in Rowenta with the SteamForce!
Sunbeam. Aero ceramic. Vertical steam. Not overfilled. Fabric setting is on synthetic, steam setting is high. Then I did no fabric setting, high steam. Finally got it to work by using cotton fabric setting and high steam setting. Trying to freshen up my suit in between dry cleaning.
I took my shirt to dry cleaner and only when shirt taken out of plastic cover to use 5days after pickup I found like a burn mark which looks like a rust right along edging near buttons . I’ve tried washing soaking in Bleach then Napisan and damn stain still hasn’t gone totally. Do you think this would also work with this ??
I had to search for this because my brandnew Tefal FV9844 was leaking like a bottle with a hole - because I was handling it like someone with common sense would do: park it on its ass while getting the next shirt. Seems like Tefal doesn't want you to do that... 😜 But your explaination about the overfilling and temperature seems logical. Now I know what to keep an eye at - because the iron has some auto-shutdown modes and the leaking happens when it stops heating (with the switch set to "steam"). Also the steaming instantly stops when I park it on its back. Anyhow, thanks for this very educational video! 😎
I have a Rowenta DW6030 D1. I do everything right I think. The problem is with the tank valve. The main valve is ok. The steam burst valve is ok too. The problem is the little tiny hole what is connecting to the iron bottom. If I do turns with the machine the water is coming out from this. I finisbed the ironing and put the machine to the table in standing position. It was hot. I found a small lake arund it. Theis valve is leaking. Its diameter is about 3mm.
I got a hoodie today and I was ironing patches on to it and I got a burn mark and I was so sad but I looked up “how to get rid of iron burn on white fabric” and watched this, did it and the stain literally disappeared, thank you so much like how does that even work
