I really don't the fuss about Penguin's genderswap.When it does happen alot in comics.Marvel /Sony even genderswap Dr Otto Octavious(Aka Dr Octopus) to Dr Olivia Octavious in Into the Spiderverse and nobody was complaining about it.

My thing is Tony has pretty much always been left feeling guilty when someone tells him that he’s done something bad. Hell in the first Iron Man movie alone he stopped creating weapons after finding out they were being used for harm. He probably felt like the accords were right simply because he blamed himself for that guy dying during the battle with Ultron because he built Ultron. Also the airport scene wasn’t supposed to be tragic. The ending scene with Steve and Bucky vs Tony was supposed to be tragic. And it was. (Oh and yeah as much as I can understand where Team Tony came from, I was Team Cap) The thing about the airport scene is none of them wanna fight each other. Natasha switched sides afterwards, Tony was trying to reason with Cap even if he wouldn’t listen to him either, T’Challa is only there because he thought Bucky killed his father, Peter is there because Tony recruited him (shit he spends his fight with Bucky and Sam fangirling over Bucky’s metal arm), Rhodey is there for Tony I’m gonna assume, Sam is always there when Steve needs him, Scott is there because he thought he was gonna fight some bad guys, Clint is there because of Wanda, Wanda is there because Steve treated her right, and Bucky is there because he’s got a target on his back. Steve and Bucky vs Tony was emotional because it’s what ultimately breaks The Avengers and Steve and Tony’s friendship. Not to mention you can argue it was this that partly screwed them over in Infinity War. Also yeah Zemo’s plan was to pretty much break The Avengers except he probably didn’t plan for it to be for EVERYONE. Just Tony and Steve with Bucky being used as a pawn. The accords and airport fight had nothing to do with Zemo’s plan. He just simply allowed it to happen while he did his own little damage. He didn’t have it down from the very get go how it would go. He just simply acted as a chess player and adjusted some things. Yeah sure maybe it’s a bit plot convenient but literally EVERY movie has something plot convenient. It was real convenient when the Calvary showed up in Endgame just when they are about to lose really, but nobody complained about that probably. It was epic as hell and awesome but still. Plus Rhodey didn’t try to kill Sam. It was to get him out of the sky in a way that wouldn’t kill him. If anything he would probably get minor injuries at most.

My one gripe with Endgame is I do NOT like that Steve choses to leave and be with Peggy. It doesn’t feel like it fits him. Hell it barely makes sense after all the crap him and Bucky went through. I do like Sam becoming Captain America though.

I think you are making too much of a big deal about this. Yes, Penguin didn't made his aperace in animated that often, but he did had a lot of appearances in general. So something that will definitely be a one off thing shouldn't be seen this critical. As for them doing it just to appeal to feminists... Nothing from what we've heard from the creators suggest that in the first place and we only accuse them of boing it for that reason because we've seen other people in Hollywood doing it for pats on their back. I personally would wait to see them saying so then just automatically assuming the worse in people. In case there were, then I apologize for my lack of knowledge. Also, why we are basing the success of a character based on how popular they got? There are amazing characters that went of the radar and characters that have an absurd level of popularity even if they are weak. I don't think not changing the cultural view of a pre established thing should be seen as a failure. Especially since there could have been other reasons for a gender swap. Sometimes, artists experiment with different designs and get something that they are really proud of and decided not to waste the design. Also, we have been used to super hero comics to do different stuff all the time in different timeline.

I agree with you! Heavily misguided and it just doesn't make sense. I actually couldn't even get into the series just because that was just so disappointing to watch as a batman fan!... should have just created a whole new female character!... now that would have been much better and interesting than gender swapping a male character that is very well known to pop culture and especially batman fans!
