very true, I still will go with baltic birth. Its not so expensive. then there is marime baltic birch... MDF Yes is very dense heavy but cant stand mouture. I had a dual 12 sub box from a friend he belive he had bur the woofer, but it was the box coming apart. 😊😂
The problem with MDF for live audio sound is the weight, and if you drop the cabinet. We had a set of MDF subs and dropped one of them; it completely crushed the corner, and literally cracked the cabinet in half. OSB doesnt hold screws well. It holds up better than MDF, but still isnt ideal.
3:01 Yep! I have a friend that he would never admit that he is wrong. I was explaining the exact same thing about her DS18 monoblock and that day was the first time I heard someone say "Maybe it's a dual block instead of a mono block" guess who dipped out of helping to install the sound system...yep, me.
This is the first video I've seen of yours and I think I'm gonna sub.. Not only bec I'm a fellow Vegas native (just noticed you're in my city) but mainly for the seemingly honest review you're offering here.. Obviously you're gonna have your affiliate links and that's to be expected but you are giving the negatives without minimizing em and simultaneously not overly shitting on the product. That's a refreshing take for me so I'm gonna sub and check out you're uploads when they drop, leave comments and likes or dislikes, and if it's good enough shit I'll share and watch to the end all for the engagement algorithm just like every other content creator I sub to and support through views and engagement.. Not rich so I doubt I'll be able to make any significant impact on your patreon but I do what I can until I get a rotten video full of woke garbage or blatantly obvious shilling for leftist ideology.. The moment I click on one of your uploads and find that nonsense, I'm gone, getting little into the sunset. Until then, I look forward to seeing your reviews and whatever else you do with this platform. 🤝🏻 🤜🏻🗯️🤛🏻
Since I'm being honest, I'll go ahead and let you know that I no longer endorse any off-brand Android/ Linux head units. They all seem to have a very high failure rate. So for that reason I am only going to recommend the mainstream head unit brands that have been around for a while.
Thank you so much! Your content is super great. I'm having a problem getting "green" with my entry level subs (massive audio TKO 124) Do you offer plans for boxes? If so, how can I get you my info so we can move forward?
I had 2 of those Belva and they were amazing they sounded even better and louder than a single dual voice Rockford fosgate p2 with matching box, i definitely will go to with Belva again if I have to
If i use a dd1 to set gains, does it matter if your running a 2 ohm sub vs a 4 ohm sub? Some companies show different voltages when setting the gain for 2 and 4 ohm loads. Do you think it makes a difference?
I cant comprehend any of this. I feel lost and confused. I guess i need to take my car to a shop and have them tune it for me cause i have no clue whatsoever.
it is not impossible to learn, it just takes some time. The way I see it is you can either pay with your time by learning how to do it (I like this method because I find learning new things to be fun and interesting) or pay with money and have an expert at a shop take care of it.
I kinda understand but I don't understand. On my amp, there are 4 different twist style knobs and they all have different things and idk what to set each one for. I see the gain but what about the others? What should they be set to?
You might not need to use them, it will depend on the rest of your setup. If your head unit has a crossover then you just need to set the amp crossover to it's highest frequency so that it will have no effect.
I like those style slanted deep inputs when you get the wire in there it really really holds plus more surface area for contact with the wire which really don't matter on such a small amp but on much larger amps it can help
