That's my main problem. The other one is the lack of a volume knob for quick and predictable volume changes. If I do find one with a volume knob it will lack the features I want or be out of my price range

And you can just get a tablet and feed Into an eq or x - over. Samsung older one will sound better

Maybe people are asking to do too much from their head unit? I only use mine to play music and I'm able to fully control it we just four steering wheel buttons. Only rarely do I need to go in and actually touch the screen on it. I suspect I'm in the minority here. Lol

3 most common issues ive found with the cheap android stereos, 1 screen dies, 2 random buzz and noises on front or rear channels, 3 slow and laggy. some have no issues, but if you DO have an issue, its likely to be one of these

I been running a Atoto A7 for the last 3 years. The thing about clipping.. I never Crank it up all the way ever. I usually just go up halfway on the volume and then use my preamp that has a 7 volt volume knob with an extra bass knob. That's the way to go, that way you don't have to go through sub menus to make a simple audio adjustment. But as far as the overall functionality. My Atoto stereo.. couldn't be happier.😊 Compared to the new JVC 7" stereo I installed in my other vehicle. The JVC is junk compared to the Atoto A7. The JVC cost 3 times more!🥴 So do your homework guys

I still like the old school styled single dins with cd players. I don't want or need all the fancy tech - except for Bluetooth, i really like Bluetooth

I have found that backup cameras and android auto are worth the extra hassle. Now only if I still had a volume knob.

I bought one of these from eBay for my 2017 Chevy Colorado and I think it's pretty amazing. It is huge and the screen quality looks really good with the backup camera. It has a built-in DSP that sounds amazing and has a lot more audio tweaking than any other radio I've had. The only thing that sucks is the Bluetooth microphone but I really don't care about that. The RCA voltage is very strong it is running my 6 12's with 1200watts perfectly

That infinity 6x9 set will but rarely does goes on sell for 120$ on Amazon I waited quite a while to pick those up because they rarely go on sale on Amazon. I like them because it like a component set not a coxal style. 👍✌️💯

A while back you did a vid on a Maxpeedingrods double din head unit with a volume knob, you had good things to say about the unit and I'm looking to put one in my pickup, that would be a good unit to put of for Deal/No Deal.

I sent mine back after a week Bluetooth barely worked If cell was in the seat it would cut off I had to have my cell out and within inches

That head unit is why I no longer endorse any generic/China branded touch screen head units. The failure rate was far to high. I only bench tested it and played around with it for a few weeks, so I did not see the long-term issues.

I've got 3 of those jag35 batteries and they are awesome! Plus I got them early when they were only $150. You can't beat them. 74ah for $150. Way cheaper than headway. Even at the current price of $200 they're still killing headway. You get everything you need except the compression plates for that price. A couple threaded rods and some sheet metal plates and you're only out another 30 bucks if you make them yourself. It's a no brainer.

I bought a Pioneer DMH-W2770NEX for my Excursion. It has more features than I need but mainly wanted wireless Android Auto. Of course, it is much cheaper now just a month or so later.🤷‍♂

Ebay it's the android 10.1 I got for my Nissan Sentra. Dps and I hooked up external amp too. Sounds great 2yrs plus only thing is videos could be better.

Ive got 5 different types of these, all laggy, all have BT white noise problems or you have to go select BT music because they dont just start playing as you enter and start the car. The AU unit with no play store option does connect automatically but you can use your phone for navigation because its on the HU. You cant pinch zoom maps on the HU which sucks. Also trying to disconnect BT so you can pinch zoom on your phone requires you to forget the connection and then turn BT off. The ones that do offer play store always have terrible internet even connected to home Wifi. Most say you can play mp4 but half the time the movie actually reads. No updates, no custom backgrounds with most, everything is nice to have but also works like pure shit. Did I forget to mention the lack of a proper EQ. Trying to find one that has two sub outs / FR outs up to 5v with everything else you desire is impossible. Android 13 acts like a cheap tablet from 12yrs ago. Currently using a PLZ with the tilt screen android auto only. 2v out even though it has all the RCAs I need but BT audio makes horrendous noises and USB skips like a old junk CD player, Just tired!😢

I can't tell you how tempting it is to build a complete and total Car audio system using nothing but cheap chinese knock-offs of everything. Cheap amps, subs, head unit, wires, door speakers, you name it. Maybe I'll get a cheap hatchback and start building it now so that when my kids get old enough to drive, they'll have a decent setup.

Did you have them on an amp? If on an amp I enjoy the sound. If on too low of power, they're just like the Recoil components, plenty of power to push the tweeters but then the mid-range doesn't keep up and they don't sound great, but to a larger degree. If on an amp, the GTO's are great for the cost IMO but sound is subjective. I've been installing tons of these while they're $60 😂 I get back from my Slam trip on the 14th with another JBL install scheduled on the 15th 🤣

@@mrcornut i have a Sony deck with 50w rms and really didn't like the JBLs the recoils sound much better tweeter is more laid back with a warmer midrange and better midbass

@@jasontroy3911 the Recoils have a more sensitive mid-range, that's why they do better on deck power. I love the Recoils for budget installs too, it just depends on the setup which one I use. Edit* just to add, even the Recoils do better with an amp, but a much smaller one is needed. 30-50w per channel is great on the Recoils where the JBL's like more than that. If doing something like a CXA360, you'll love those JBL's. However, if that Sony head unit has good output and you're happy with how it works on the Recoils that's great. Like I said, I love those ones too!

I'm still using my pioneer deh-6000ub from 08, 4volt pre outs, and a decent dsp. Bought a hizbo double din and threw it in the trash after listening to it. Bought it from a junk yard for $50, so no lost
