My 2021 cfmoto zforce 950sport something is making a loud ticking noise, took off valve cover n notice my chain is a little loose ,wat causing it to b a little loose
My spring came out and the reason I noticed it is because of loud engine tick. I immediately took off plastics, the spring was sitting between the cylinder's. Am i in for a costly repair? I have the spring back in not sure if it is adjusted correctly. The engine runs and the ticking is not a bad but thinking it may be out of timing on a 570 2021 outlander.
? I accidentally popped off the tensioner when I was installing new starter. I put it back in would this cause my UTV not to start.it was running untill starter quit. Was new one was in it turned over great but won't start engine.
I'm looking for help, my cylinder head rear chain tensioner plunger popped itself out. Do I need TDC on the front to be able to re-insert? Zero room to turn the nut.
Problem came back and on my can am 1000 xmr you shouldn't do that because its hydrolic. Anyway my knocking is coming from my rods had it all checked out and these guys know what they are doing. Valves timing chain all good and it's not the clutches either.
I'd like to know that as well. I have a rough running engine that back fires on throttle close. I'm betting that it's the timing, I already changed spark plugs and they looked good.
It did get rid of the tictic that developed, and less popping, she did start that......just a little bit, i would recommend doing both, since the valve covers come off to due the valves anywho.
Hi, are you sure the phasing applies to ALL prop shafts? I have a 2007 Renagade 800 with yokes out of phase since production I think. Looks exactly like the 3rd shaf with the rotor on your video. It seems like if I turn it 1 spline, should get to phase more or less. It has ~400hrs and 7000k km and I'm hearing some noise, but not sure if it's coming because of "out of phase". The gear oil was dirtier than the rear diff, which I suppose it's ok?
Do the frame stiffening mod. Cut open the plate covering the end of the frame at the rear diff. Some say add 3 pieces of 1"x1" square tubing & stuff them in there. I however used aluminum 3/8" wall tubing.
