for the last 2 years I've always got my outlander 800 fixed a none Can Am Dealership and I went for a rip in September noticed the diff seal was leaking so drove it there i was near the shop, called me the next day to pick it up, as i left the shop i noticed some crazy vibration in the rear and ratchet kind of noise almost out of the transmission, i than turned back right away walked in and told them I want it running the way it was before they looked at it for days and couldn't find anything, I flipped out and they told me my transmission is done ? went the Can Am dealership where i bought it, buddy checked it, all that time it was exactly what your video is about, just shows how some places will try to make crazy amounts of money off of you if your not careful, I was told a transmission is over 2000$ without labor hours... crazy part about all this a new guy works there and last week he was calling customers to see how were the customers experiences were and how happy they were with services, I must say I buried them on the spot and I don't think he was impressed either lol
After putting some miles on our sons polaris the rear drive input seal leaked .After the dealer replaced it it screamed even at low speed, the dealer kept it in the workshop for 3 months trying to fix it and ended up putting a new rear driveshaft in. Ok all good until a little use made the seal leak again so pop ( me ) took it apart and found that the numbnut mechanic had put the seal in back to front and the original shaft was out of phase. All that time and money for a seal leak 😣
Amos, I have a 2007 650 Outlander Max with 10k miles, I had the front drive shaft replaced and wanted to know how I can check the rear drive shaft it is on the quad. If not do you have a video for removing the rear drive shaft?
Hi, are you sure the phasing applies to ALL prop shafts? I have a 2007 Renagade 800 with yokes out of phase since production I think. Looks exactly like the 3rd shaf with the rotor on your video. It seems like if I turn it 1 spline, should get to phase more or less. It has ~400hrs and 7000k km and I'm hearing some noise, but not sure if it's coming because of "out of phase". The gear oil was dirtier than the rear diff, which I suppose it's ok?
