Hi great video, is there a way you recommend to take off the turbo from the engine , I looked at it from above but theres a ton of stuff to remove before i reach the turbo. But via bottom it looks like i need to remove a metal pipe , a shaft of some sort. I'll appreciate any help. Thanks
Thanks for watching andcyour comment. I'm only using the free version. I dont use it enough to justify paying for the premium account...I'll have a look at 360.. thanks
hi can I pick your brains, I got the nut off the allen bolt to take the stem out so I can replace my batteries how can I get the bolt out is it screwed in also or just need freeing out as its very difficult to get an allen key in it I can't understand why it sit below the cowling
To be honest as I answered a simular question in the comments as it was a while ago I can't realy remember. I know it was tricky. If you have the big grommet around the shaft on the case I think you need to lift this and get it from there. Sorry I can't be more help.
Great video im having a problem with my Vauxhall insignia sri 2015 2.0 cdti eco engine getting hot after a couple of miles from cold and water tank boiling up and heat gauge goes up and had a message on dash saying shut down ide or something could this be the thermostat thanks Also heater is fine gets hot as normal.
If the interior heater is blowing hot air then you have circulation which means the waterpump is proberly OK. It's possible you may have an air lock in the system if you've recently lost coolant. Other possibility are blocked radiator but it does sound like a thermostat problem.
When I was looking for a decent unit I couldn't find one in the uk either. So many fakes you can't trust what you buy. I brought this on ebay from the USA . Was quite expensive but works perfectly.
Hi, does it shut off completely or is it that the screen goes off into screen saver mode after a short time. If its just the screen then this can be changed in the settings menu. If it shuts off completely you either have an intermitant fault in the 12v supply or the unit is faulty. If its plugged into a cigerette lighter plug id check the connection there.
@@shaunsautorepairs5410 what about the anticoller pipe is that could the the problem as well cause I got leaks and I can't say where is leaking exactly cause is under the thermostat it looks same. Thanks a lot
If its not draining you must have a blockage, either in the pump itself or in the stand pipe where the outlet pipe goes. You've proberly got some debris from the washing in the pump
Thank you for replying. Is there any way off unblocking the little tube. ? The machine is full of water. I tried to switch the cycle to a drain and spin but it kept trying to go back to.the original cycle and kept adding more water 😢. Just had floor replaced , so desperate to not have a flood all over it .
@@user-qg7pj4wr9o you should be able to manually drain it... .open the flap near the base and where the drain cap is there should be a tube where you can drain the drum into a bowl or something .
That wee tube appears blocked too. Guess I am just going to have to go straight to the filter bit and do my best not to get it all over the floor. Any tips 😢
@@user-qg7pj4wr9o just take things slowly....undo the filter a bit at a time and mop up any water that comes out. That's all I can suggest... if you have any serious concerns get a plumber in to assist you
Hi Shawn. Nice video from a driveway mechanic. I don‘t have air tools either, or a lift. The coil compressor is a good idea but I will have to use clamps and wind them in to squash the springs. I‘ll probably make a little procedure and post it on the rcz forum. Thanks for the tips.
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment but to be honest I can't remember what thermostat it was as it was some time ago now.. If your referring to the opening tempreture it would have been the standard unit as supplied by the parts factor. As to the make, if its not shown in the video I realy can't help you. Sorry
Hi Shaun, I have a Fiat 500 1.3 multijet 2015. I assume with the same engine as the Doblo. However I can’t locate the plug you are using to test the glow plugs? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
@@patrickhannon395hi, I've had a quick Google and I can't find any reference to the location of the module. In most cars they are bolted to either the front panal by the radiator for good air circulation or around the bottom area of the battery, near the chassis rail. But of coarse it could be behind the engine on the fire wall... They are normally identified by being a black or aluminium box about 2 inches long with 5 thick wires and 2 or 3 thinner control wires... Good luck with finding it.
I have a leak from #2 cylinder injector bolt bottom, seems there is a metal ball missing in the bottom where the threads are. When blowing air into the hole, coolant gushes out. The 3 remaining holes have the metal ball on the bottom. Used a bore scope for inspection.
My answer is i dont know. I dont deal with turbos very often. I would imagine the oil seal would be part of the bearing assembly in the centre. Not sure if this is servicable as a diy job.
Chances are you just need a new tempreture sender and not a thermostat. Do you have the service engine soon message?. Do you have access to a code reader with live data to check the tempreture sender?
As I can remember it was a bit tricky getting between the chair base and the plastic cover to access the pinch bolt that holds the seat tube.. if that's the one your referring to. If your has a black grommet around the tube the bolt is under there.... That's realy all I can tell you as it was a while ago...
Hi, Thanks for watching and your comment... Your right, If this was my own car and i was doing all the bushes then poly bushes would be a way to go. But this was a customers car and we were only doing the one bush so a standard bush was used.
My MK7 Golf stop start turns off/on dash cam when engine auto restarts. I have even wired direct to battery and same thing. With the dash cams male cig socket, could I wire the capacitor in-line on the positive wire rather than a double cig socket for tidiness? Any help much appreciated. i most certainly will send you a coffee or prob a beer LOL, thanks mate from Australia.
hi, sorry for the late reply. yes you could certainly wire the capacitor in the feed wire to the dash cam... the positive terminal on the capacitor would need to go on the 12v positive wire on the dash cam. the negative side would need to go to an earth or to the negative wire on the dashcam. hope this helps.
Hi again. I need to replace the masterclutch on my 407 SW HDI....But how to reach it, from under the car or? seems impossible to reach it from the enginebay. it differs alot from your video as my car is a lefthand steering. :)
Hi... I suppose it may depend on the year and model as to how much access you have. The ones I've done I've always done from the top reaching down over the engine. You may need to move the power steering pipes a bit.
Hi. Ive replaced the masterclutch , but it seems impossible to bleed it? ive tried all the common tips and tricks, i even bought a device for preassurebleed with 2 psi but with no result. I also tried to bleed from the slave up to the master, still no clutch. When i put the system under preassure and at the same time moving the pedal up and down, i notice a series of small bubbles, really small ones like 1mm. It doenst matter how many times i bleed, the small bubbles allways shows up. Is it possible that the brand new mastercylinder is faulty?
@@bjornnylander8754 it's possible but unlikely that the master cylinder is faulty. It may be a case that the slave cylinder is faulty. When bleeding you need to do it from the slave cylinder. Using your pressure bleed kit pressurise it to 15-20psi. Pump the pedal several times while bleeding and bleed untill no more bubbles are present. The clutch pedal needs to be down before you tighten the nipple on the slave cylinder.
