Personally I think it might be a *slight* overcorrection, just because the same predictable path every time makes them cheese-able, but it's an active development game, so I have no real problem with it
Oh, this is really nice actually! Although, hopefully it still gets a minor change to path to different areas a good distance away from the ship each time instead of just having one spot where they pile up.
This is a pretty nice buff to have, but it doesn’t feel like a very elegant solution for the giants to leave to the same spot as far away as possible from the ship every time almost immediately after you hide under, in, or near the ship. There’s still a middle ground for giants camping the ship between challenging and unfair that I believe has yet to be reached, and I hope Zeekerss continues improving his game. It’s a great game and he’s showed already how receptive to feedback he is with the fox, so I’ll be staying tuned.
Another great thing about this is the giant will not stop and look around like he does when he's normally patrolling, meaning if you know where he's going you can be sure he won't see you. So it gives a pretty nice grace period of not really having to worry about the giant in addition to him not camping the ship.
This update is a sweet buff to vow and march and a horrible nerf to dine Having main in the middle of the map makes it a hot spot for enemies But now apparently the light path is a no go if someone is coming back to the ship with a giant on their tail
dine was still fucked before the update, the old main was too out in the open and if a giant spotted you (which is likely) he wouldn't leave the main entrance till the end of the dsy
@@he3004 Nah. Dine was pretty nice during v50/v56. The fire exit being so close was nice and the mountainous terrain worked as a counter to high giant spawn rate. 43% for Butlers suck but kill one and the others fall like dominos. It was certainly a tier three planet but not better than rend or even titan.
@@addchannelname2052 I don't usually kill butlers, mostly because I suck but I thought the bees were worse than the butler's main mechanic, I know the mountainous terrain provides cover but if you happen the get spotted in dine you're completely fucked as the giant will chase you through the narrow corridor and you can't make turns to lose him
giants are supposed to have a feature in their code that prevents them from camping the ship of every moon, its been completely broken and doesnt work since v49, and afaik it was not fixed, you probably just got lucky
You can do some testing yourself with Imperium to show that it is consistent. Even without the Imperium mod, I noticed that giants would walk far away from the ship on Titan during a few runs instead of the normal pathing they are known for. Even if the code is the same, there is something that got changed somewhere that is causing it to work now.
I think v61 mineshaft needs to be less detailed, less vertical and smaller to play similar to Manor/facility. currently it feels like its two difficulties above the rest of the game and I don't think that will change much with more experience on the map. Spraypaint helps
Love the video! But just so you know content warning is WAAAYYY easier with friends since you can record them getting attacked, they can hold boom mics, they can heal you with huggers, they can defibrillate you. Etc.

If you are talking about iElucian's 1688 Art, I have seen it. The only issue I have is that he has mods running in the background and doesn't list the mods used for the run in the description.
I definitely use a few mods just for visuals to make it HD/remove the head bob/visor/lag, but either way it's not even a big deal or that serious to tell someone to change their title lol. Thalonius's run is pure vanilla and insane and the only reason I learned to use the cruiser. <3
