How can we be sure that Ellen g white had the gift of prophecy because many people in the past have claimed to be a prophet? What prophecy of Ellen g white came to happen as she said ? There are many people who claimed to be a prophet like herbert w armstrong, Joseph Smith, Muhammad. etc
Hi Aditya! The only way we can be sure Ellen White was a true prophet or not is to test or examine her writings and her life by the infallible word of God. "To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them." (Isaiah 8:20) It is true that the devil has used MANY false prophets to confuse and frustrate people and cause them to scorn ALL prophets but we must be careful that we do not do this. God's counsel to us is: "Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:20,21) Therefore we must test everything she wrote by the Bible. If there is ANY disagreement with the Bible then we can be sure that a so-called "prophet" is not really from God. All true prophets will always be in harmony with the word of God, because it is the SAME Holy Spirit who inspires them. See 2 Peter 1:20,21 and Revelation 19:10. 🙏
