Founded in 1592, Trinity College Dublin is Ireland’s university on the world stage, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across 24 schools and three faculties: arts, humanities, and social sciences; engineering, maths and science; and health sciences. Spread across 50 acres in Dublin city centre, Trinity’s 17,000-strong student body comes from all 32 counties and more than 120 countries, making it a cosmopolitan campus with a focus on diversity, intellectual rigour, academic excellence and research-led teaching. Home to Nobel prize-winners such as scientist Ernest Walton and writer Samuel Beckett, Trinity draws visitors from across the world to its historic campus each year, including to the Book of Kells and Science Gallery which capture the university’s connection to both old and new.
More than well deserved! I've recently finished reading this book. I went into it off the back of Joan Didion's 'Year of Magical Thinking' and before starting John McGahern's 'Memoir'. I'm in the throes of writing my own insane memoir. This book was a masterclass. Beautiful, immersive and emotional. Talk about words being the clothes our thoughts wear! Recommend this to anyone interested in seeing the craft of writing being honoured. George H Smyth.
I graduated in Geology 50+ years ago and enjoyed every minute of the four years to get to that. The lectures were excellent and the field trips very enjoyable both from the satisfaction of learning directly from nature but also the camaraderie. When I walk through the door of the Museum Building, I feel "at home" and have a sense of belonging to this place. Geology is an unique blend of observation and applied science, including chemistry zoology, physics and biology. A geology degree is a passport to the most interesting places in the world and an opportunity to learn other languages and cultures.
When I studied Geology here 50 years ago, the timetable didn't allow for anyone doing Physics and Chemistry as most Geology students did Botany and Zoology instead. I often had to sprint across the campus to get to my Physics or Chemistry lecture and sometimes decide which lecture i would be able to attend when they clashed. Those were the days...!
I am doing my Bsc in nursing science from Germany. My course includes anatomy, physiology, pharmacology etc. Will I be eligible to process my application for this Msc in Neuroscience? I have been doing internship at hospitals and nursing homes. Even, maximum of the times we are working with dementia, parkinson and patients with other neurological disease.
Say if you study French for leaving very but want to do Spanish in trinity in this course would it still be allowed? Or would you have to carry on with french ?
Greatly informative video. Thanks. In my near 3 years in the Museum as an engineering student I never once gave the marble a thought, shame on me. But it's an industry we ought to cherish more.
