Engaging and assessing large class sizes in Engineering 

Dr. King will give a brief overview of his experiences in teaching large class sizes (greater than 250) in Engineering. How do you keep students engaged throughout the semester? What methods can be used to assess large classes efficiently and effectively? Today, students expect full online notes to be available -- is this always the best approach? Is there a way that students can be encouraged to takes notes during a lecture while also catering for students who can't attend for legitimate reasons?
