After Blade Runner, I sent her a fan letter. A year later I received a beautiful hand written letter from her apologizing for not responding sooner and thanking me for my letter, as well as a signed photo, I still have it put away safely..Classy, still one of my faves..
The audience are laughing AT her, not with her. Why didnt she just stand up, pull the frock down , sit down again, instead of trying to pull it while sitting on it. She comes over as either stupid or having trouble with memory.
Got a Greatest hits VHS tape of her when I worked in a video store in the early 90s. Not a big pop music fan, but what a great singer/musician she is with such a distinct sound.
As a kid I sent a letter to Buddy in probably 83 or 84 because I figured someone like Buddy was my best chance of getting a response from a real player on my favorite team. Buddy didn't let me down. He actually sent a letter back.
I was doing a deep dive on David Gates of Bread and found out an interesting piece of trivia. The keyboard player in the band Gates started at his high school in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1957 was Russell Bridges, who later became,......Leon Russell.
God knows it's almost slow jazz. I feel like I'm in one of those diffuse basement Jazz cellars. Only their striking riffs and runs come out of their sleeves, are over the top. I like it's dark magic and this studio version. ♥️♥️♥️♥️
It’s so clear how much Norm idolized letterman he had such absolute looseness and that kind of bubbly apathy whenever he’d get interviewed by others and with letterman you can tell there’s a minor sheepishness (I guess it’s norm so you have to read between the lines there). But it’s clear watching him here vs other shows how much he looked up to him.
