Attention to detail is a must on setting gear set's up! I also like how you demonstrated using grease behind the pinion seal spring, which most people overlook! One other thing to note with Detroit Truetracs specifically is that conventional oil means non synthetic! Nice Job Dustin !!! 👏, Drivetrain Specialists D.T.S
Great video Dustin! I have set up gears before and have nailed it the first time and also on the fifth time. Patients are a plus when doing gear set ups. Take care and catch you on your next video.
That’s some good luck right there, always nice to get it correct the first time. Haha and yes Patients is some really good advice for this job , plan ahead and give yourself plenty of breaks and time. Thanks for watching i appreciate it. 🍻
Great video but id love to hear up front what the possible causes of a dead shop vac could be... like a burned fuse before going into 5 minutes of a motor access teardown ,;) I wont go thru that much dissaaembly just to see its full of possibly drywall particles or paper which is dkways bad for vacuums. But on a safety note for newbies.... A few people mentiohed changing a fuse (with the wrong type probably) and smelling a burming scent. I would tell anyone who is nor experienced in electrical repairs...that as soon as you smell smoke "abandon project". Dont risk a house fire just to save a few bucks or try to save the planet. Cut the cord off so noone else finds it in the trash and plugs it in....or take it to your city electric recycling garbage compound. Usually a novice will reassemble old ekectrinics and be left with additional screws....and sometimes a "burning smell".
Hi My Freezer is cold 0 degrees, but the fridge is not cooling 55 degrees. At this point with my Frigidaire GLHS67EHQ side-by-side refrigerator, I’ve replaced the damper assembly, that did not fix it. I cleaned the condenser coil. Then I replaced the evaporator fan (which is running), that did not fix it. Although the compressor was working, I decided to install a new start device since the unit is 12 years old and I was already cleaning the condenser coil. The damper is open, and air is flowing, but there doesn’t seem to be much velocity. The freezer is cold, but the fridge side remains warm. There’s no corrosion on any lines I can see. There’s no ice buildup on the evaporator Just a small amount of frost. Finally I replaced the control panel, but that didn’t resolve the cooling issue on the fridge side either. I’ve checked and rechecked everything, including re-crimping the evaporator thermostat wires to ensure they were properly connected, but the problem persists. I’ve also removed the ice maker and top back panel to check for obstructions, and everything looks good. The vent by the crisper is clear as well. At this point about the only thing I did not replace is the thermistors. I’ve been working on this for days and am not sure what else I can check. Any further guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for any ideas in advance. Dean
Wouldn't trust Hcalory not to sell me a piece of crap, the last so called portable unit they made had mains wiring direct to the 12volt dc lines inside the case with no transformer inside the case it was dangerous. You couldn't wheel the suitcase like box around because the fuel tank cap has a breather hole in the lid so it would leak when the unit was turned on its side to wheel it around like a suitcase.
I know this is an old video but it still helped me a big time !! Mine wasn't stuck but the connector part was the problem ! It came off from the piston and I didn't know what was that for until I watched your video ! Thank you so much 🎉 😊
I just replaced my 1997 rotted skid plate with an OEM Dorman and that single inner bolt was a bear to tighten, it wanted to spin from above. Also, my ground strap was torn off so I had to rebuild that. Looks great now though!
I just replaced my oil cooler with a Dorman aluminum housing. No leaks but now it’s smoking a little, is it because the old residue from when I removed the old one? I’m stressing
