Great stuff, just subbed! Quick note, for the gobo you can use a plane with a single face and apply a noise texture to the alpha of the material instead. This gives you a more optimized scene and you can procedurally adjust the density of the gobo on the fly.
You can apply that gobo effect directly as a texture with light node modifier instead of modeling a cuculoris shape that let you using more noise generator.
Hi James. It’s a shame that not many people seem to watch your vids anymore. You obviously have more important things to do with your actual career and probably can’t commit to tutorials fully which is a shame. Your patreon was inactive for so long
Yeah, I deactived my Patreon since I wasn't able to be as active posting exclusive content and tutorials on there. I've been incredibly busy with other work and haven't had a chance to dedicate time to editing together tutorials. Definitely would love to bring in an editor to cut stuff together so I can post more regularly on here! I also just got setup in a new production studio space with a new PC build and have plans to start recording more content from there! :) thanks for following along
Are you able to weight paint the sand so the foot prints only exist from the door through the center of the scene creating a path? I wouldn't think that anyone would be walking along the walls, etc.
I can’t get the footprint displacement? When I click on the link it doesn’t appear. Is it an old link or can you send it to me? Many thanks. Great tutorial
hi. can you grab objects and move them with the vr controllers, in blender? i was thinking that could be awesome to do the "REAL TIME ANIMATION" grabbing objects while push record anim button.
thanks for the tutorial artwise i would like to point that, only the trees are moving, there are a lot more assets which would react to the wind like the curtains in the first one or the umbrellas in the third one. will really add to the realism... cheers!
@0:57 That would be Kolmanskop. WonderHussy Adventures did a video from there back in 2019 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q8vvO2zVDBs.html
@JamesTralie , Not sure if you will see this here, but I am currently working on a project in blender similar to the one shown in the video. My question is when you export you Final render from this video, is it only 360 degree movement? For example at about the 6:00 minute mark you say you can walk around the scene but only show a stationary camera with 360 degree movement. I am looking for something more interactive like where you can use the joysticks to physically walk around the space with 360 degree visual movement like around the 4:20 mark. Sorry I am far from an animation expert and do not know if I am using correct terminology for this question. any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I don't know why he said that but you can't move around in a scene like that. This is basically a static 360 image projected onto the inside of a sphere. If you were to move off the center position you would see you are just stood inside a large sphere and everything would warp and apear completely flat as you moved. To actually move around you would need a fully 3D scene with 3D objects. For that you will need to use a game engine like Unreal, Unity or Godot.
@@sibience Hey! I know you made this comment a while back, I'm looking to do the same thing, any luck in figuring out how to do that with blender/ The most I've been able to figure out is by using sketchfab but the workflow is choppy and It looks low resolution
So you can only move your head 360 but not move around in the scene? Unless i guess you went into render mode and walked around in the mirror mode in blender itself?
Ok I want you to build me a city that’s online that uses blender type technology. I want it to be like gta but it’s like sims and Roblox each build can be different cities and people do activities there being completely interactive not virtual though some where you can go to the museum and order Burger King
Turns out you can create your animated trees in blender 3.4 and then append them to Blender 4.0 with animation. I am using Botaniq version 6.7 which I don't think is the latest which might be the issue. I haven't figured out how to install Botaniq 7.0 yet because it downloads as a PAQ file?
