I'm Ash Schultz, one of the best local spray paint artist in "Fabulous Las Vegas". I am a life long dabbler in drawing, painting, sculpting and pretty much anything creative!
On this channel I will mostly feature my renowned spray paint art, but I'll also drop in the occasional drawings, paintings and who knows what else!
My passion in life is art and I love nothing more than to share that passion with people and inspire the next generation of young artists, but you're never too late to get started!
@@Lisa-qy9jl it’s spray paint so it does dry quick, you need to work fast, def tackle it while it’s wet. Keeping it cold will help it stay wet over. You can also spray it with glossy clear coat to wet it back up, but you can’t go crazy with or you start building up layers of clear
That's so oil painting vibes, clean af...an here comes the question...how long did it take. I'm about a year into spraypaint art an I'm working on flow to keep it as inspired as possible
@@YouGotTK thank you 🙏🏻 this takes me about 20 mins? I usually have a rough idea in mind and sorta make the rest up as I go. Keep at though. The more experience the more fun it becomes
I am a serial repurposes too! Every time my girlfriend gets an Amazon package she started leaving all the packaging on my workbench because she knows I’m going to rummage through it for texturing materials. I’ve even have boxes of plastic packaging sorted by size for different canvases. 😂
Been a traditional acrylic artist for years, bit you have started Mr thinking I could combine spray can art. If the paints are both acrylic based it should work I like the way you stretch the possibilities and give so much information.
@@clarkshields6882 thanks dude, yea I’ve been at the brush thing for years as well, I just know my channel is more centered around the spray paint stuff lol
Keep em comin ash. Question.. how did you get the clouds to look the way they do on the painting with the planet ,tree on an island and the waterfall. The coloured 1. I know irs probably hard to explain here but if you wanna try it would be awesome
Hammered effect metallic paints I found our great for making cratered moons or planets. Car wax pump spray bottles Kan also be applied before a layer of paint and scraped off after it cuz it doesn't stick to it for a similar effect. Or added between layers and torched between layers for some really 3d textures. Just a couple tidbits I've discovered experimenting.
I know sketch and the British dude probably have the most content on RU-vid, but you Antonio paints the art surgeon and amethyst Vasquez are the four I learned from the most. I do this as trauma therapy so I do this a lot. The best thing I learned from all is the never only know how to do something one way. Before Bob Ross everyone had to find their own way to paint a tree. Actor Bob Ross everyone only knows one way to paint a tree. The most right way is your way. I mean not you specifically bud tho i will say you definitely are doing it right. The appeal in getting into this is how quick and simple it is. The way to stay stimulated once you learn the basics is to see how complicated you can make it without overdoing it. Always a pleasure when people see me doing this and ask me how I learned and I tell them a one minute RU-vid short and recommend my top 4.
I can’t believe I forgot to respond, but your comment really means a lot to me. I’m grateful I’m able to help people learn with my work and in the next week or two I’m going to start putting out a lot more content and lean into this more full time. Thanks again for the comment bro and keep painting and having fun with it!
Hm, it seems unfinished. Do you have a full video of it? Feels like something is missing in the middle and somewhat unfinished. But I love your art in general, you are amazing!
It’s still a piece I’m working on, but I ran out of storage while recording so the waterfalls were lost, but the vegetation gets added in another short
