This set up is too much space and bad technicalities for the price ill just take my time look for better options. I need all the trunk space i can have.
Pretty awful to be honest. Just your low beams on was the best to my eyes. Maybe if you mount these in an actual fog light position, down low, they'd work better. Kinda of odd to use "fog lights" and mount them in the ditch light position. Too high.
Right in that very corner where the Speaker sits theres a huge empty space there, i'm thinking of adding a Subwoofer there myself or an extra battery for more power. If you have a Hybrid then your screwed because theres a battery already there
Thanks for taking the time to compare both of these. In your opinion which one is more fun to drive? Which do you grab first to go have some fun in the dirt, sand or snow with? Thanks.
So, I would say as an overall they are pretty equal. I wasn’t as worried about damaging the XRT since it is a bit lighter, and I would say it handles a little bit better, mostly due to the weight. You really can’t go wrong with either one though. The Kraton may have a slight edge in turning sharpness.
Bad speaker choice… these are 4 ohm speakers and will sound bad (lower volume and less power) compared to OEM since they need an amp for full potential. The JBLs or the Infinity Reference series will be the best upgrade since they are 3 ohms (will sound louder at all relative volume level) so they will work better with the factory head unit, and they are also more sensitive than the kickers (kickers are 90db, infinity and JBLs are 93-92db). Also, they sound great with an external amp… speaking from personal experience, when powering from a factory head unit, 1 ohm difference and few dbs extra are a day and night difference
I got both. For me personally, XRT all the way. I've had way less trouble with the XRT, 25ft high and 100ft long jumps with both. The XRT has been able to survive way better my less than stellar landings indeed. That's been my experience. And I had to upgrade way less on the XRT out of the box. Both great rc vehicles, but the K8S has been way more expensive to upgrade and maintain IMHO. Great comparison 👍. Subscribed. Check out my video where I snapped my X-Maxx in half 😂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8MoB93B3ks4.htmlsi=RrzWl-UdO2ZzMk8b
I should probably do another video since I changed it up. I tapped off the parking light so they come on with the parking lights instead of always on with the ignition.
Thank you for the very well explained video. Would it be possible to support the door panel slightly off to the side without removing the door lock electrical harness and still be able to remove the speaker?
@@DoItTogether2022 Good to hear, I’ve got a pair on the way. Sounds like it’s the floods mounted up top that have more of an issue with glare on the hood, but the driving lights seem to be closer to a spot beam pattern. Thanks for taking the time to post!
Does the seat back now lay down flatter with the base removed? I took the base out of my 99 4runner years ago for the extra flat load space and would like to do something similar here
I didn’t lay the seat backs down, this was initially done to install a seat cover. I’ve done it a few times to install wiring for a subwoofer as well. I don’t recall laying the seat backs down however, sorry.
Hi, great info but it is possible for you to do a video on the part where you ran the red wire through that small opening to the fuse box? thank you in advance.
I can’t say for sure, sorry. I changed the way I wired the lights, I tapped off the parking light bulb so the raptor lights turn on with the parking lights instead of tuning on when the car is running.
Can I just unplug the car link in the reverse order you installed? Seems like a dumb question but I wasn't the one who installed it. Having a problem with the door unlock/lock fuse blowing once a week and trying to trouble shoot.
Hello, I installed the evo-all with the carlink module, but my battery died and i tried pairing the carlink with the evo-all but nothing seems to happen. I'm able to remote start my car with the key fob , but the the module and app are not working. Do you know how to fix this ?
I would check and make sure the unit is getting power. It was working prior with no issues? What vehicle? You may need to contact car link directly. They are quite helpful!
