Question: After installing this on your RAV4 does the heater/ac automatically turn on based on your prior settings?

@@Vincentgonzalez1993 It’s the same as you getting into car and starting it, so any settings your vehicle would normally keep this will be the same.

The door lock absolutely. I don’t have a power lift gate so not sure, sorry.

That is odd. All functions work on my RAV4. Have you contacted start x and car link?

Thanks for the comment. I'm looking at this for my 21 4Runner. My StartX is installed behind the glove box so I wasn't sure it was the same.

@MarkKlanac yeah I just did the startx and carlink all at once last night in about 2.5hrs. I tried following the carlink install manual and it absolutely did not work, but this guy here's way worked perfect besides the unlock thing. Finding a spot to leave the carlink is wonky though, let me know if you find a solid spot for it

I would check and make sure the unit is getting power. It was working prior with no issues? What vehicle? You may need to contact car link directly. They are quite helpful!

Thank you very much for your video. I have few questions. I have a start x remote starter i programmed to work normally but not far enough. If I add this car link on do I have to program exactly like you or I have to go fortin flashlink app to program it too before or after program that unit. Please advise. Thanks

@@DoItTogether2022 I downloaded the instructions from google which were exactly as u pointed out in video but it doesn’t specify pts or keyed. Instructions only state to put in “on” position so im assuming it doesnt matter🤔

@@Hector-cn3rv I didn’t know they actually made one for the keyed ignition.

@@DoItTogether2022 Well I have a 2021 Rav4 push to start and a 2019 Camry SE key to start. Both vehicles have the StartX remote starts installed. I definitely will be purchasing this Mycar cell phone module for the Rav and follow your instructions on this video. Im just curious if this same programing method is used for the Camry as well. How did you get the programming instructions for your Rav in the box or on the app after you input vehicle info?

@@Hector-cn3rv I did this video because the instructions were kind of all over lol, but I believe it was mostly in the box.

if I remember correctly it was Fortin, but it’s been a little while since I’ve done the install.

@DoItTogether2022 no worries. I was able to call customer service and they walked me through the steps. At first they weren't very helpful but eventually we got it figured out.

@@DoItTogether2022 yeah I have the instructions thank you. When I first tried to install the car link I would get a red and green led and now I have no leds turning on
