Also the voice cast were amazing! I love Michael J. Fox as Milo and freaking Leonard Nimoy as the king. Then of course Cree Summer as Kida is amazing in everything she’s in.
I love Danny’s laugh at Arin’s “You’re not me?!!” It has two layers to it. First the initial “Ha! That’s funny” laugh. Then the “Oh shit… that’s really what all prejudice comes down to, that’s so stupid!” laugh.
Ya know I got a really good way to sum up "Out for Love" It's kinda just... a lesser "Do it for Her." As much as I REALLY don't like Steven Universe, it's not at all for me, I remember "Do it for Her" at least being pretty damn good. I didn't love it that much either, but it was alright, it had it's moments and it was at least a little impactful too. "Out for Love" has like, thw exact same story drive, rising above yourself and pushing your potential in the name of duty and love, but it falls short entirely. It has not that great pacing as a pop song, and the lyrics just do not hit that hard at all, It's honestly a little cringy lyrics wise.
I always hate that it’s debated who created Jinx - Vi or Silco? Yes it’s Vi [temporarily] abandoning her made an impact & Silco did help mold & encourage her to embrace Jinx, but a significant player who’s always left out of the equation is Mylo! Fun fact, the Bible tells us in Proverbs 18:21 that “Life and death are in the power of the tongue…” all that means is you can have what you say, also to be mindful what you speak over a person because words have power. If you verbally abuse your child & tell them on a daily basis they’re useless, they are going to grow up thinking & believing they’re useless. “What a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” [Proverbs 23:7]. These verses we see play out beautifully & tragically with Powder becoming Jinx. Before Vi abandoned her, before Silco molded her - Mylo spoke Jinx into existence. As a child he verbally bullied her saying “she jinxes every job, she’s bad luck, she’s a jinx”. Mylo’s voice is Jinx’s biggest & loudest demon, always bringing a presence of doubt & paranoia. And while she carries an enormous amount of guilt for their deaths, Mylo haunts & torments her the most because her being the cause of their death only cements what he always said about her! Mylo created Jinx.
Notice how in the scene where Powder gets hit back by the explosion of her monkey bomb/Stone explosion and shes in the air - its at that exact momemt that defines Jinx as a character. Where the pay off for finally feeling she was enough to have some sort of impact on her family's lives actually reaps results from her own actions. Its that feeling of self satisfaction and pride that also makes her go down the road she did. Of course she doesnt realise in that moment that she would lose everyone she had seen as family right after, but man. The powerful feeling she must have felt that made her consider that she was enough. But you know, as we know now, it was never enough sadly
It’s sad because Silco was a good dad in every other sense but he enabled Jinx’s mania and violent tendencies instead of helping her find ways to calm her mind and perhaps encourage her to be more gentle….and not use her inventions for crime
I kinda feel that this is not the fault that stupid tv show that you mentioning to be that bad. When we compare any tv show with Arcane, unsurprisingly they all will end up to be on the garbage side. To be honest, I cannot even imagine that something can possible be better than Arcane even in the future (I mean I hope I can see that)
I in no way relate to Jinx's story, neither do I have schizophrenia or any of the mentioned conditions. There was a moment in my life where I fell down a hole and every crazy scene of Jinx is so relatable to that moment, her panic attack, how her memories became distorted and her 'coping mechanisms', they all are very real and very well done.
Oh man, was enjoying your video until your completely out of left field dig at Walt Disney for no reason. Just bro... Take a dislike. Everything else about the video was great and on point, but that bit was needless and left a sour taste in my mouth.
I never noticed that in the last few scenes Silko ztief to shoot Vi. I thougt he was aiming at Jinx after seeing that she was taken away from him. But seeing that he realized Vi's words torturing Jinx and he tried to stop Vi from hurting Jinx further was heartbreaking. He knew Jinx and tried to help her all the time
From someone who has ptsd when i watched Arcane i related so much to the scenes where she gets flashbacks, i straight away knew it had to be some sort of ptsd diagnosis written in her character.
It is certainly a masterpiece, and the kiss scene is the most romantic melting epiphany ever. And I say EVER. Loved your video, this is one of my favourite movies.
What I love about this is that even though he may have encouraged her psychotic tendencies and enabled her violent nature, he realized that he loved her enough to not get the Zaun he wanted. He chose her over Zauns independence

There's a story that Watanabe had started making the show then he got some of the soundtrack back from Yoko Kanno, and it amazed him so much that he changed the show to match what she gave him. It's impossible to talk about Cowboy Bebop without talking about the music. The writing of the characters is impeccable yes, but I think Bebop works as well as it does because of the soundtrack. Way too many times the music doesn't come across as just fitting the tone of the show but rather as representing the very souls of the characters themselves.
Okay now I'm sad that you didn't mention the amazing duett of emelie and Charlie (in which they both get the high ground) More than anything: It was the song that made me cry. But it is one of the less heard song by me.
Imagine, if you will, having strange, sudden and violent thoughts. Having that experience all of your own mind is scary to begin with. Now imagine they happen constantly. Constantly, constantly. they never stop. As if they look for every moment for you to let your guard down to haunt you again. In the short term, its frightening. after a while, it's annoying. After a few years.. it's absolutely exhausting. In jinx's world, she can shoot people and blow things up. As extreme as that is, it is a form of outlet. But now place this situation on a person in modern day real world. Your brain demands that you lash out and do things you don't want to. So whats a functional adult to do? One might try.. shutting down. Stop your body before it does something really terrible. And while people around you will be completely puzzled about your situation.. at least you didn't blow up. Right? But you know what the kicker is? You might stop yourself from going berserk by shutting down.. but then tell people whats happening.. and they don't believe you. They think that because you don't go berserk, you can't be crazy, so you must be just lazy. So people don't believe you're preventing destructive episodes because you fight yourself to prevent destructive episodes. isn't that funny?
Can we get a video about VI? I feel like she's being ignored because she looks stable and grounded, but no one talks about how when powder left with silco vi ended up even more alone, because toxic or not, jinx had silco, while VI was alone in prison relying only on herself and dealing with everything on her own and damn the courage it takes to be on your own, forced to toughen up like that and still remain the same, sane person. I love her character and it's an absolute inspiration. I'd love to see people talk about her more, instead of ignoring her because she has the balls and the stability to make choices and be responsible despite her own pain. What a lion heart she has.
As a person with BPD that's semi-untreated rn and I've only recently got out of a bad relationship(s), hard watch for me. I heavily relate to Jinx and use her to cope through my trauma, her trauma and the things she goes through - I have gone through similar; I notice the way she thinks sometimes I think that way too - and seeing Silco give her that almost unconditional love that nobodies else gives her but he's so TERRIBLE for her; that is so hard for me. Love I know cannot be the only thing holding a relationship but when your brain chemistry is all messed that's literally all you want/need; I still just want love and validation, and reassurance, cause it is so extremely difficult for me to do it on my own. It was a hard watch just because it's kind of a reality slap, and definitely something I probably needed to hear, so thank you in a weird way; there's a lot of healing I still need to do.
Hello Flying walrus my name is Isaiah and I have something important to say to you. God loves you and like any father he wants to help you and keep you safe especially from the devil. But I am not just speaking to you about this I am also talking to your fans about this. God loves you all and he wants us all to be saved. Not just from ourselves but also from the beings that caused our wourld to be as bad as it is. Satan an his minions. For they want to manipulate, kill you an overall turn you to the side of darkness. But there is hope. God's light pierces any darkness like a star in the sky. An God is bigger especially bigger then the Devil. Do not be afraid for God's love is for evreyone. Shalom Shalom.
