Welcome to Elliot Richards on EVs. Exploring Asian Car culture, with a focus on China and EVs. Formerly China Driver.
China is a very exciting place to be right now for automotive, with the country taking the lead in development of their domestic auto industry, and we will be testing the cars of tomorrow.
Lots of content will be on Fully Charged Show - but this is a place for more niche or personal projects related to EVs.
Any suggestions for cars you would like me to test next, pop it in the comments :)
I just saw the Z10 in a showroom here in China and believe me it's so beautiful and comes with air suspension. I'm totally sold and it will be available for test drive in August. Can't wait until then.
What a stupid video, all I hear is mocking, mocking and mocking..complain, complain, complain... when it is subtle its ok, when it s so obvious that the features are not out of ordinary or bad and other european car also do the same practice, and when the mocking is done too much...the video become ridiculously waste of time. Im not learning anything here.
Awesome Luxurious Electric mini-van !!! It's definitely on my wish lists !!! Dose this, ZEEKR 009 has an air suspension system that can be raised or lowered the ground clearance for driving in different terrain country roads condition? 😍💖🚐💖⚡️🔋🌞🌏✌️💯👍
The one thing that EV's have widely neglected, it is wheelchair users. My 2 litre petrol, Jeep Wrangler, 4x4 is so much more useful for me, as a wheelchair user. I have space for a fixed frame chair and a large powered add-on wheel. Most importantly, I have space for a hoist, to lift it in and out. My first EV is a Hyundai Ionic 5. No space for the original electric power wheel, but I have been able to buy a smaller travel wheel, which I can just about squeeze in, with the wheelchair. Being able to move the rear seats forwards a few inches gave me just enough space. But no hoist, so I have to balance precariously while loading the car, then grab the car, while I shuffle around to the driver's seat. The only vehicle that actually met my needs was the VW ID Buzz. I could have got a hoist in it, but, the cost was ridiculous for something with such short range. This *could* be the answer to many wheelchair users needs. A hoist? A ramp? A winch? And at an affordable price? It would be great if occasionally reviewers popped a fixed frame wheelchair into the boot of a vehicle that is being reviewed, rather than simply suitcases.
It is just a worse parody of the Xpeng X9, which is more effective, less efficient, and more remarkable in many points, but not for the quality, unfortunately! Not a good alternative of it, it is just an opponent as the Denza D9 is, but far from perfection as the Denza D9 is, worse than the Zeekr 009...
Good but not as good as the Xpeng X9! The important thing is the quality, not the quantity of technologies,: no XNGP, no ADAS 4 or more, no modular space between 4 or 7 places, no efficient Lidars in front of the car seeing what is on the floor down to the front vehicle. The Lidar cannot perceive what is behind any material, even not behind glass! Is it a 21.4 screen in the back, as good as the Xpeng X9 is? Is it really as a Rolls Royce being useable for decades or is it like any ex poor English car brand, with lot of problems after a few years? Good security is not only resisting to 13 tons of weight on the roof, but sparing any risk...
Id love for this to come to the uk but the fact audi are endorsing it and now in partnership theyll make sure it doesnt effect their sales in the eu and will definetly hamper its performance if its stepping on the rs etron and taycan turbos toes at a fifth of the cost
Thanks for this great video. I was wondering if this is the iCar 03. We have the iCar in Costa Rica, the only difference I can see is the useless storage box in the back.
You've hit the nail on the head Elliot - so much luxury all packed into this upgraded 009! Zeekr really is taking it to another level and the 009 is heading to Australia 😁
Icar03 lists ground clearance as 170mm yet Jaecoo J6 comes up in searches as 200mm. This could be a terminology difference. I am hoping for decent ground clearance on Aussie version.
MPV and estate/wagon version of a car - two variants that manufacturers keep telling us no-one wants. Well, they're wrong, and chasing higher SUV profit margins is already leading Western OEMs up the wrong alley, and Chinese companies like Geely are well able to fill the gap... Nice to see this is coming in RHD - hopefully other models will follow along!
What a Boat, love the Captains seats in back and yes, toning down the Ugly grille did help. No wonder the US closes its markets to competitors, they simply cannot compete! Regarding the Piano Blavk, easy fix is just keep a clean soft cloth in your driver door pocket and wipe, all good then !
That nose with 2 or three horizontal stripes might make it looks better. The colour's a problem - looks a bit like a van version of the London cab - another Geely product
Seriously sick of these posh nonsense emotional support vehicles, be it F150s, RangeRover Sports or this Anyone else sensing that growing awareness of fossil fueled societal and climate collapse?
