My blade safety is sticking. Right hand left hand, tip or joint. Sticks on occasion. Will this trigger help? I'm ok with the heavy pull. Does the trigger need the spring kit to function correctly?

nice content! purchased ruger lpc max 75 th anniversary model for ultra lite pocket carry. the stainless slide was a great up grade for rust and corrosion in hot sweaty Florida beach carry. I added stainless guide rod and 13 pound recoil spring, and I dis liked the ruger aluminum trigger that came on the little gun. Replaced with mcarbo trigger and heaver spring with trigger pull just under 5 pounds which is minimum for a pocket mouse gun for me. end results was stainless slide and plastic grip, not much can rust except the pins, and springs, that were treated with frog lube. I have shot this very small mouse gun at 15 yards with 10 shot in 6 inch circle with zero hiccups. solid carry piece when the 9mm its too big in a shirt pocket!

I lust used this video to put my new PMR-30 together with the upgrade kit. It went really well due only to the meticulous attention to detail in the video. TIme to hit the range!!!! Thanks so much!

It's NOT that easy with the HP-22A or HP-25A. There is a SCREWED IN bar at the top of the trigger groove. That bar is a PRESSED IN bar on the older HP-22 and HP-25. If you remove that screw and bar on the 'A' models it makes for a very easy install. I was pulling my hair out trying to install on my new HP-25A until I removed that bar. About a year ago I did the install on my HP-22, and it was easy as can be. Just remember they have upgraded their two models to the 'A' models. By the way, this is a replacement pistol that Phoenix Arms sent me free of charge. I had the older model HP-25 and I needed a small pin for the ejector. They said just use an FFL dealer to send the pistol to them and they would replace it for FREE! WOW! THEY DID! That company has the best customer service anywhere.

Well, I ordered and installed the LCP complete trigger kit to no effect. 6.5 lbs. before; 6.5 lbs after. None of the springs from MCARBO felt appreciably lighter than the Ruger originals. I emailed all this to the company but got no reply. I called the company and left a message and got no return call. I called the company again and got no return call. So now I'll call Wolf Springs whose products I have installed to great effect three times and have good customer service. I don't know why I was taken in by this video in the first place. Perhaps because I'm retired military and fell for the good 'ole boy veterans line. Live and learn.

The plastic brackets in the OEM hit a circle of metal, but in the titanium striker it hits a cross (less metal surface than a circle). This means those plastic brackets will wear out much faster (2 x in my opinion) with the titanium striker profile rather than with the OEM. I suggest adding a tiny washer to protect the plastic parts. Otherwise the design is great! (I am just a stickler for details 🙂)

I bought the spring kit and was a little disappointed it didn't have the polish in it. with that being said it made a world of difference in the trigger pull. I did everything in the video and it came out great. Thanks for all your help.

I have been trying for a week and destroyed 2 springs. This is absolutely the dumbest design. I’m ordering another VP to check and see if something is out of spec with mine. I’m a gunsmith and this poor gun just will NOT go together. The spring keeps bending and separating as I’m pushing it in to place.

I wish there was an upgrade to put a SD9 style trigger in them. I haven't tried the M*CARBO spring kit for the SW9, but I always wondered if it was possible to get a decent trigger with this design. Hard to imagine it won't suck no matter what you do to it, except to maybe replace it with an entirely different trigger/sear design.

Hello, this looks amazing. I was wondering if the mag extensions made for the stock mags, like from stuff and things, would fit on these metal mags? Was also wondering if the enhanced mag catch will still work with stock mags?

This is easily the best SP101 trigger job tutorial on the net. So much better thant he average ham and egger home gunsmith take on swapping springs only. I've done several and can say that anybody who follows this should easily be able to get a reliable sub 10# DA pull in a 101. Even my SP101- 22 cal runs reliably at 9# 10 oz.

Erm, you didn’t show your grouping at the end. “Let’s see how small this grouping with this new spring is”. Glad you got to see it at least… prolly wasn’t even paper back there though is my guess.

I would want my friends to see the accuracy. Mag dumps only prove that the shooter loves to brag about nothing and spend a lot of money to do it. I spoke with a KelTec Service Tech, for over an hour, before I bought my gun. I am still waiting for it to arrive. The tech advised me to wait and not spend the money on the kit unless I have already sent it to KelTech for service for whatever problem I am having and found that there may be some parts needed to remedy the problem. KelTec has a lifetime warranty and until you break open the gun by removing the screws to make internal changes the warranty will be intact. The one part that makes sense to me is the feed ramp from MCarbo. But until I get it, and fire a lot of break in rounds through it, I will not spend the money to jazz up my PMR30. Oh, I did order the replacement Slide lock from M Carbo. When I get my new gun and the slide lock button I will install it. Otherwise, I will try to find the least expensive 22 mag ammo with the proper weight bullet and do some targeting...5 shot groups...and practice my accuracy while I am breaking in the gun. Btw, IMHO, a 30 rd mag dump may be fun and may be helped by installing the frame support from MCarbo, but the mag dump heats the gun up enough to soften the polymer frame and flex even with a tight grip. And, because it is a flexible material, weak-wristing the gun will cause even the first shot to malfunction. Save your money, shoot your PMR30 sensibly and shoot safe. Just because you can load 30 in the mag does not mean you need to especially at the range. And after a good break in period, if you need the parts, send the gun in to mCarbo or KelTech and let their techs do all installations. That will keep tour Warranty intact.

Please update and/or put out a new install video for this kit in the larger caliber LC Carbines, I tried to install this in the 10mm and some of the internals were different and couldn't finish putting my kit in. *Also i ordered the trigger on the LC Carbine page as well, could you guys please put out a video for that too? I'm still learning the insides of this firearm

Just bought spring kit. Installed it today. Didn’t get much polishing done because the dremel I bought was too fast and it shredded the wool tips. Oh well. Successfully swapped out the springs on my brand new GP100. Only hiccup was when I first reassembled the trigger housing the cylinder latch was stuck down. Had to remove trigger again and fiddle with the cylinder latch. Upon second reassembly it all worked. Hardest part was reassembly of the trigger spring unit. Very hard to compress by hand to get the retaining pin back in. But all is well that ends well. Nice lighter trigger pull and feels broken in if that makes sense. Thanks!

I thought I had an lcp ii and I have an lcp and I ordered the wrong stuff. No way I'll put the trigger spring kit in but the slide pin, recoil spring and stainless rod should interchange (lcp vs lcp ii), right? I did it anyway and it shoots great with less recoil

Little nervous part way through but things turned out great.

Very good video! Got me off my butt and I just ordered your trigger kit, polishing kit, and bench block for my GP100 snub nosed stainless. This Friday night I’m going to take the plunge and do the full trigger job as shown in your video. (The only thing I’m not doing is the lapping of the barrel.) Will let you know how it goes! Thanks CARBO.
