That Basket is. Kind of what you thought it was maybe not Helicopter. But like a Mountain Terrain Rescue Basket that usually got carried in and out of the Wilderness to Carry out an Injured Person it might be marked liken.S. fDept of Foresty or NationalParks ? And possibly worth a few. Bucks ?
Nice job getting it running! Would love to see compression numbers to see if the left side rings are infact sticking. Throw some b12 in there and see if you can get them freed up. 🤙
Back when I was like 14 in the early 80's, friend of mine had a 73 Spit. We drove the wheels off that thing. Due to its color, it was nicknamed "The Baked Bean." Think you mentioned Arthur is 6 foot 6 inches tall (?). If so, when he walks outside, air traffic has to be notified?
Yes, glad you guys went with the dog dishes! I like dog dishes because they not only present themselves, they don't hide the appearance of the steelie they're mounted on. On vintage and classics, I always loved steelies color matched to the body and dog dishes.
You men are very entertaining. I've never seen an engine put together. Quite like this before. I wonder how long it will take for it to hatch. I believe the valve covers will be a perfect match for the amount of blue smoke coming out the exhaust pipe, but you're funny as heck. You should do more singing though. I really enjoyed that part
My GL 1000 came with a trailer hitch. Great for pulling trailers and motorcycle specific camping rigs. When I had my Lead Wing, I went nuts on lighting customizations and assessories. Ever seen those 18-wheelers on the interstate at night, all lit up? Yeah, I made sure I was seen! Talk about battery/charging system abuse...
Back in my early 20's, I had a 76 LeadWing, full dressed "Cadillac" GL 1000, all the goodies. Thanks to it's low center of gravity and profile, my skinny 120 pound self had no problem riding that beast. I did some lighting upgrades and added some artwork to her. Some scripting and pinstriping. Across the trunk, using those thin artist paintbrushes, I scripted "Long Distance Voyager," inspired by the name of a Moody Blues album. That was her name.
As an old-school-geezer-gearhead, I never got into nor liked anything front wheel drive. I love those Caddys and Olds that have front whhel drive, except the front wheel drive part. To me, front wheel drive has always=wrong wheel drive. Same sentiment about the 73-76 GMC motorhomes: I love em, but not the drivetrain.
Have you tried using this stove outside of a sheltered marina? Or while underway and heeling? I'm asking because I really like the idea, but I'm concerned from a safety standpoint.
Great video guys. And thanks for selling me the car. I almost bought it about 2 years ago, but it didn't work out back then. I am planning a very nice driver restoration on it. I have an old car problem, but it's not a bad problem to have. Thanks again and take care, Anthony
On my 39 Pontiac that had been sitting since 56, ( at the 26 yrs) , i took each plug and dipped each one in jelly. Gas. Wiped off the excess. It started on the forth go round!!!
Wow that's low milage on that bike. My first touring bike was an 82 gl1100 that had 78,000 miles on it when purchased and 213,000 miles when i sold it for more than i paid for it. Best bike i ever had as far as reliability.

Guys, that's the kind of content. I'd like to see though. Keep doing videos like that. I just subscribe to see that kind of content. You'll give it you better Stafford. And I want so many that just give app on one and I believe shores the world if you're wouldn't give out and had the time, you'd get her to fire them off. Great video I wanna see more on it. Own it. Own it.
Basic things to do when you start a car idling for years is first to clean or replace plugs, clean distributer points , drain oil and put new oil, replace filter , clean the carburetor and clean tank or have alternate tank , check petrol pump . All this done if the engine turns . Better to remove the valve cover and check on valves also. If they are sticking, must release them . This is a lame effort .
now get yourself a truck bed camper and you got a bugout houseboat overland survival rig, oh, and a set of wheels for your overland wake board.....you have a fun family, luv ya!
I love your spirit, and your go getter attitude. I love these old timeless beauty boats. I already restored a 1987 Bayliner Ciera Sunbridge 2450 10 years ago and now a 1987 Bayliner Ciera Sunbridge 2150. They're mostly fiberglass so you can actually build 'em and retrofit as much as you like. ha ha, I also have a 1975 GMC motorhome I'm playing with. It's hard to buy anything new anymore and expect 3 generations of family to enjoy it. PS; what you paid and got a complete running gear is amazing........great find!
