Thanks for this video. I’ve had an AK that I haven’t cleaned in a couple years because, well…because I knew I could get away with it. But I think it’s finally time and this a thorough yet brief breakdown of how to do it.
I was expecting it to function like the Ruger 10/22 or PC9 but it reminds me more of a shotgun the way it operates. It's ridiculous simple so I just take it apart after every range trip. Maybe it's just the ammo I've been using but the bolt on mine is pretty filthy after every trip to the range (250-500 rds) so it's worth cleaning thoroughly. Also, side note, get the Glock mag well version. I initially got the Sig mag well and it was a jam-o-matic. I changed to Glock and it runs flawlessly. I was hoping to have a reason to have an additional use for my overpriced Sig P320 mags but it was jamming or bolt not locking back on last round fairly often. Iy likes Glock mags just fine, plus the Magpul pmags also run reliably.
9mm needs to be fatter, heavier and slower to do what the .45acp does. They designed new cartridges and pistols to even get close. Like shooting a fist with your bullet. The faster, lighter and skinnier you go, that effect is gone. It's a mathematical sweet spot made by Newton and a very clever man of genius invention, the immortal Mr. Browning, may as well be a Founding Father. - Fudd rant done. - wait, , one more thing, 9mm is a carbine round when best used. Screw Glock, gimme a MP-40 in semi auto 9mm.
Ok so I just now saw your video about 9mm vs. 45acp from 2yrs ago and as usual as most of all videos concerning 9vs.45 you talk up the 9mil. as better than 45cal. And as usual you 9mil fanboys put up for an example a 7-8 round 1911 as the 45. You talk about ammo capacity and how 9mil carries more! But of course you leave out the kick ass GLOCK 30 for carry gun 10+1 in chamber or the G21 full size 13+1 rounds!!!!! And there are others as well!!!!! You do that because you know the GLOCK 45s will kick your 9mils ass and are not old and antiquated like the 1911s!!!!! So yeah you little wussies who can't handle a real man's gun always complain and whine maybe it will hurt your little weak wristed selves!!!!! Boo Hoo!!!!! Why do you think GLOCK made better 45s than the 1911 platform??? Because 45 caliber makes bad guys shit & piss themselves and makes the coroners job a lot easier!!!!! Because he doesn't have to go rooting around to find the bullets like those little BBs of the 9mil. 😂🤣 If your gonna make a video of 9vs45 show an honest contest between them!!!!! No more 1911s. I carry the three most common calibers ( 9 - 40 - 45 ). The 45 is the only one I don't mind carrying with just plain 230gr FMJ hardball ammo for self-defense!
I was cleaning out and consolidating my old cleaning kit today. I decided to order one of these little Otis kits. I'm looking forward to trying it out later. I also want to make an even smaller kit that fits inside the grip of my M4.
I’m in Ohio and some of my guns (mostly shotguns and rifles) seem to rust easily while my glocks never have an issue. We don’t have crazy humidity but summers have some pretty sauna like days. How do you store your Henry?
Not sure what I did wrong, the only thing I can think of is that I used the medium size round cloth to attach. Seems to be jammed up at the very beginning of the barrel and can’t get it through, or backwards and out for that matter. I’m stuck. I did everything else this video shows... Any tips?
the thing i didnt like here, is that you didnt mention that the CLP or cleaner are both very toxic chemicals, and should be used with proper PPE (Gloves and a mask, with proper ventilation).
Yes it is caliber specific and will bring the bore back to a shine. You’ll need to clean to ripcord prior to using it again. This is a great idea for a new video by the way
