I was expecting it to function like the Ruger 10/22 or PC9 but it reminds me more of a shotgun the way it operates. It's ridiculous simple so I just take it apart after every range trip. Maybe it's just the ammo I've been using but the bolt on mine is pretty filthy after every trip to the range (250-500 rds) so it's worth cleaning thoroughly. Also, side note, get the Glock mag well version. I initially got the Sig mag well and it was a jam-o-matic. I changed to Glock and it runs flawlessly. I was hoping to have a reason to have an additional use for my overpriced Sig P320 mags but it was jamming or bolt not locking back on last round fairly often. Iy likes Glock mags just fine, plus the Magpul pmags also run reliably.
Nice video. Do you have to take it down like that every time you shoot it? Can you just do a barrel clean and then a thorough clean as you did after so many uses?
Unless you're locking the bolt back and are just running a bore snake through the barrel, then taking it apart to clean the barrel might be preferred I would think. Heck, the bolt is so filthy after every range trip, I just take it apart every time. It's such a simple firearm.
