I saw a pair of jeans on a person waiting to board a plane and the back pockets had a tiny V stitched in the middle of the top of the pocket. There were fairly high rise and wide leg. Do you know what kind they were, perhaps? I took a picture, but you can’t tell much from it.
I've been having such a hard time ordering jeans that fit. For the first time in my life I've gained weight. I've always bought a 30x30 or if I ever came across a pair of 29x29 those fit perfectly. I've always been skinny. Now that I've gained weight I'm trying to find jeans that fir. I have one pair that's a 34x30, they fit well and I thought that was my new size so I ordered more online and they all ended up too tight. When I actually measure myself ( I measure from where the top of my well fitting jeans sit, which is just above my hips) When I actually measure myself I get a waist size of 40 inches. So, I ordered a pair of pants that were 40x30 and they were huge!!! They just fell right to the floor. It leads me to believe that clothing companies subtract about 6 inches from the waist to make people feel better or some crap.. And after all this, I'm still stuck with only 1 pair of well fitting pants...
@@TheBadDenimReview any recommendations for big waist, and small thighs / hips / bottom… they always fit on the hip but I can t do them up at the waist or if I can they are too loose on the hips and sag
I started off with a pair in worn in black and it's such a versatile color (dark grey with some beige undertone), goes with everything. Just bought two more pairs in ojai shore (light wash) and noe dark mineral (dark wash) they're the only jeans I wear nowadays.
Randomly came across this video on unrelated search. Upon viewing I was left wondering where the point lies in this. Obviously I understand the concept of the different yet overall similar pocket styles presented. Overall they were basically similar with not much variety offered not that it matters, I guess. Just attempting to define overall point of video. All I gathered from info given was basically a small collection of pockets on someone (Man or woman) you offered you're advice on where you believe the pocket rests however are you suggesting that for that specific brand and body size? Without even checking dating on this film I can only assume not much thought of intended info or any info given was considered as necessary.
Thanks for your comment! The size and placement of the pocket is proportional to the size of the jean so the video will apply whatever size one is wearing. When trying on jeans it’s important to turn around and have a look at where the back pocket hits on your behind to see if the jean fits properly and is flattering. Thanks for watching 👍
Could not find the Lee collab any longer, but maybe look at my current favourite: Lee Stella A-line/Tapered and maybe Drew as well. I need to check the latter out. Seems to be even wider leg than Stella A-line
I sold the wedgie because they were true to their name 😅😶 Ribage for me is too high, it reaches my actually waist which is high up on my body, but the difference between my hips and waist become very great if my jeans reach my natural waist, so not only do I look like I have no torso, the ribcages that fit my hips then have huge gaps at the waist.

I would advise to measure waist just inside the band, not the exterior length. That's the way all online vintage sellers do it. Another reaso to buy jeans vintage: they always get actual measurements, and the original fashion size becomes irrelevant. Regarding stretch: just don't get stretch. Never ever get a single % of lycra in your jeans from now on! Promise? Thank me later. Regarding taper, you say male jeans are more straight than womans.... I measured like 30 pair, mixture of men/woman, and the dominant aspect for hips/waist is 1.25. No matter the gender. You can both find 1.4 aspect ones and more straight 1.1 ones in both closets as well. Where 1.4 is tipically a fitted high waist ratio when worn on a feminine body shape, it becomes a dad-bod style on a manly body shape.
Don't buy any stretch demim, at all, as in never! Just learn to get proper sized ones, and I can recommend getting vintage, as those are always sold with actual measurements, not "socially desirable" sizing. Not to mention elastic fabrics are totally unreliable in wear and retaining shape and bad for recycling/waste water.
I like them ready-for-duty style. So not a single big pocket for your cellphone, but 3 smaller ones for your pencils and ahum... folding ruler (did nobody come with a proper word for that?). And a hammer loop, and a proper gulp to pee in the forest with a gutter made from a coffee cup....

Could you recommend a premium jean for an apple-shaped size 16W? I love Agolde, but they do not cut for plus sizes. I have been looking for a jean with a long zipper (to combat camel toe!) and great pockets. They are so hard to find!

Hi, I am from India. Though I am a male, I have been following your videos. Really appreciate your attention to details. I have a rectangular shaped body ( small frame) . 33 inch hips and I wear size 38 shirt. The low waist in India has a crotch size 9.2 inches which is what I wear mostly levis 65504 which is sold as skinny though its not sprayed on. I tried levis 511 but it makes my lower body look bigger than the upper. Can you please suggest a style in levis for my body type? Thank you.

Looks like a cheap copy of the even cheaper chinese samples. These dungarees are not functional at all, too simple and with formless cropped legs. I like Carhartt and Dickies, but I've seen many good-looking fitted dungarees too. Possible the best ever: [old/vintage] Lee overalls.
I wanted to love these sooo soo bad since I own 3 other pairs. I’m always true to size I’m these so ordered a 25 and they were sooo big on me, I exchanged for a 24 and they were too tight 😣 the 29 length in these were everything . For reference I’m 5’5 and 1/2 . Ribcage are by far my fave, ty for this review and hope it works for others 😔😔
