OK, so I have been known to say things in a way that may seem a bit harsh. I'll try to be tactful (but it's not my strong suit). I want to be supportive of you, I really do - but man you are making it difficult. How can I care about you if you don't even care enough about your own health to make better choices? Don't get me wrong - kudos of deciding to give the carnivore diet a crack, or for changing anything about your lifestyle for that matter - cause most people insist on the blue pill and that's fine, I just don't want to watch RU-vids about them. You have to know that one of the most important aspects of the carnivore diet is what you DO NOT eat. It's not just about eating more meat (but that's a good start!). Bread is inflammatory, I don't care if it's sour dough made by magical pixies - it's poison for your RA. You don't eat bread, period. Sweet Potato contains oxalates and with that you're just asking for trouble, so why? Mayo = seed oils and worse than that - eating strong flavors makes you want more strong flavors. You're just setting yourself up for more cravings and temptation man! PLEASE get more serious about this and in not too much time all these temptations will fade away, but you gotta commit. No nonsense is the best approach to help you to stick with the regime. Otherwise, you're just wasting everyone's time including your own. Sorry if that was too harsh. Cry baby.

I appreciate your passionate response on this subject. While I can't argue with you about bread or mayo, it is hard to avoid sometimes. My fridge is full of expensive products that are free of sugar, corn syrup, seed oils, margarine - you name it. I generally will not touch anything with seed oil, but I will eat bread on occasion. I consume much less than most people. Now the problem is I don't find it easy or even possible to go cold turkey and wat carnivore only. I don't think I will go 100%. Not every diet is completely compatible with every person. I started this very committed and motivated and I found it impossible to sustain. But does the diet help? Absolutely convinced on that.

@@zz3astro I hear you. I'm not really a carnivore purist, (though I am a zealot!) and I agree that any dietary regime should be tailored to each specific individual., even if that includes some non-carnivore foods. If your immune system and gut can handle it, then why not? I used to put my back out just by sneezing. I discovered that this was due to inflammation, when I went carnivore 18 months ago and the problem started to go away. Decades of painful back issues now completely gone! I got triggered when you spoke about your sore back - I apologise. Truth is though, you don't NEED bread in your diet - you WANT bread in your diet. Eating wants instead of needs is what makes us sick. Eating needs instead of wants makes us healthy. Also, bread has almost no nutritional value (and plenty of negatives too) and is quite filling, meaning when you eat bread, it is taking the place of animal fats & protein, so that meal was likely detrimental in some way, beyond just raising your blood glucose & insulin. Maybe I'm telling you how to suck eggs, but I do the same with my friends if they complain about their pain or other health issues - stop eating the stuff that does this to you, I say. Mostly people don't want to hear the solution though, they just want to whinge about their woes. Not saying this is you :) Also it must be really hard to be strict if you are in a household with others and the naughty stuff is still in the cupboards. I forget that living alone (as I do) makes carnivore infinitely easier! I appreciate your reply and your channel!

From what I have gathered from your past few videos, I'm about the same age and I have the ~same symptoms as you and have been dealing with it for many years. But I would never do a 'cheat' or eat soy pizza. And I would never switch to carbs to "get my blood sugar up". I think that's a mistake! Be careful of the influences around you; people trying to 'help' you may push you astray. Over the past few years I too occasionally had the visual migraines with the jagged lines, but I simply began mixing cal-mag and potassium with the distilled water that I drink and they went away. Certainly not worth being hospitalized. But nothing has lowered my pain and improved my mobility as when I got serious about fasting, high-intensity physical therapy and doubling my protein intake, which were all key to losing nearly all my visceral fat. When you get muscular, your belly is flat and your veins pop out, your on the right track.

YOU ARE A DEAR! Here is what came to mind. Stop ALL sweeteners completely. Maybe add one stick of butter per day, cold from the fridge, nibble a bit with each bite of meat. Make sure you eat ENOUGH meat. (I am female, 5'8" so eat 1 pound of beef and one stick of butter per day) Watch Sally Norton video about OXALATES if you have yet to come across her information. Her special diet is most likely beneficial to people who have been loading oxalates super big time, like drinking almond milk/spinach smoothies every morning, supplementing with turmeric or cocoa, eating sweet potato All veggies have oxalate, some more than other. The problem with Dr. Berg and all the other keto folks is they guide people to super oxalate laden diets. IF a person has super high oxalates accumulated in their body (2 bites of chocolate would put you at your daily limit EVEN IF IT HAS THE NO CARB SWEETENER), then when a person goes on carnivore, the body senses it's a good time to get rid of them, so the body dumps them all at once producing problems! Sally says people have so many oxalates stored away, it could take years and years and years, 10-20 years even, to cleanse them out. Oxalates like to settle in the eyes, the thyroid, the heart, all joints! RA!!!!!!!! Probably OXALATES in all them there joints!!!!!! Sometimes people go on carnivore and feel great, for months, or years- but then have flare ups OR FATIGUE. It is always a possibility you may be oxalate dumping at those time. Notice your urine: if it is cloudy, there is a good chance you are oxalate dumping. It will be expected to go in waves. At any rate, since you have been on keto, I thought there might be a chance you are high in oxalates. When I followed Dr. Berg, I got sucked into the keto desserts with ALMOND FLOUR and FAKE SUGAR. Almonds are ONE OF THE WORST oxalate offenders. Anyways, I subscribed to your channel. Wishing you all the best.

I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia this spring. Symptoms were muscle ache, joint pain, back pain, inflammation throughout my body, low energy, headaches and I could not make a fist in the morning, could barely open the fridge door from the pain. Two weeks in the lion diet (beef, salt, water) my body eliminated all the inflammation in about 4 days. Once the inflammation was gone, all the pain and all symptoms I just mentioned were gone and are gone. Two weeks later I had a croissant and the inflammation was back, pain as well. Could not sleep that night, could not move from one side to the other and also my arms were itchy. The carnivore diet saved me from a nightmare lived for 20 years. Stick with it, for some people it even takes a few months to half a year to see results, depending on the damage they have. Good luck, I hope you'll see results very soon!

You know you can make pizza bases from shredded chicken. There are a couple recipes here on YT. This way you only have to deal with less problematic ingredients like the sauce. Otherwise look for gluten-free bases, which should react less while your digestion is still transitioning.

so sorry to hear this about being 14 months in and no difference. Have you consulted with anyone? Maybe join the Steak and Butter Gang for like $30/month? I consulted for $200 with Bart Kay and he spoke one on one with me for 2 hours. No way to know how much research you have done. the first thing that comes to mind is - stop ALL sweeteners - make sure you eat ENOUGH protein (1 gram / pound of your idea weight which means at 5'8" tall, my ideal weight is 120 pounds, so I eat 1 pound of beef a day) PLUS make sure you get enough fat (I eat one whole stick of butter per day). Have good quality water. Do naked sun bathing everyday for 1/2 hour. Take cold showers. I mitigate EMFs with a device from Essential Energy Solutions. I am looking into how to properly ground my bed. Looking into wearing blue light blocking glasses in the evening. STOP eating liver is you are eating it due to copper toxicity. MAYBE organic will be important to you. I use the salted Kerigold butter as it tastes the best; otherwise use organic? Stay away from commercial hamburger because THEY CAN PUT PINK SLIME IN IT. I have a small meat grinder and grind my own.Wishing you all the best.

Carnivore eating is basically animal products, the eating you mentioned about hoofed animals is "lion diet'. So yes, carnivores eat eggs and chicken, etc. Some eat dairy, some do not, some eat it only sparingly, and we need to look at which products are very low carb - like most hard cheese.

I drink coffee on keto/carnivore; it is the only non negociable treat for me. I eat this way because of my familial tendency to become diabetic is very strong, and I am determined to not give it a chance. I eat mostly carnivore, but I drink one or two cups of coffee with butter and a bit of cream, no or very little stevia. I do two meals a day not because I am hungry, but because I lose too much weight too fast. I eat between 10 am and 4pm most days, have black tea at 7pm and go on to the next day. Sometimes I have pork rinds or some cottage cheese with two berries for snack. I wish you the best in your quest to find RA relief. I am a nurse, and I know of how much suffering some of my patients endure with it.

I’m seeing light at the end of tunnel. I’ve eaten Costco beef, pasture raised eggs. Good luck! More: My RA doctor told me 100% that I would always be on meds and would need to lead a low purine diet for life. She upped my methotrexate to 8 pills a week plus the biological. The last time I had my joints aspirated was in October. I will be going to my RA doctor and telling her I won’t be coming back.

You need to find a supplier of primal cuts (probably online/delivery) who will not trim the fat off. I Buy whole rumps (~ 14-16lb) and whole NY strip that has a really thick fat cap. If you barbeque, brisket can be really fatty. If you have a butcher handy they will also give you the fat offcuts for free, when you buy something else. Living in New Zealand I eat a lot of lamb, because outside of late summer (spring lamb), the lambs are quite fatty. I get the lamb flaps (about 70% fat) and mince them/freeze them in portions. This way I can mixed it in some ground beef that is not fatty enough for me. The reason most carnivores dont eat much chicken is, it's actually less satisfying without all that sugar laden sauces it's covered in and doesn't have much fat on it. I personally buy a whole chicken occassionally from the supermarket and eat everything apart from the breast (where my wife will only eat that) From a fat ratio perspective ... start relatively low, and slowly increment the amount of fat you are eating. This will also help you get fat adapted and you can learn what works for you that week. I'm a couple years in and I can eat a plate of seared beef fat. But it turns me on like the energiser bunny, and unless I work it off I can't sleep. BTW the people eating beef/salt water is called the Lion diet. Most carnivores will eat nearly anything produced from animals, including dairy (which is not conducive for weight loss), I personally have seafood and chicken every couple of weeks, but live mainly on beef and lamb (with eggs)
@zz3astro
@zz3astro 2 месяца назад
Thank you for the comprehensive input. For chicken we have it a couple of ways.. I have a smoker and the flavor is pretty satisfying. We also make it in an air fryer and season it like a steak. But it's really too lean so we really only eat it sometimes for variety. We want to try lamb soon (I like gyro meat which is primary lamb) but I understand it tastes better than it smells when cooking.

Try to stick with it for at least 90 days. Your condition has been going on for a long time. Will take time for healing but you should notice difference in how you feel around 30 days in. That was definitely my experience. I have been diabetic over 20 years and joint pain, auto immune disorders and tendon issues for the last 10. In the last 4 years I have detached the meniscus from inside my left knee, dealt with extreme arthritis and pain in my right knee, torn both rotator cuffs and bicep tendons at different times, broken my wrist and had tenosynovitis on that wrist. I hurt my back in January of this year and Dr wanted to do disc replacement but I was unable due to out of control diabetes. I did not want surgery. I found carnivore when researching how to heal naturally. Two months in went back to doctor, A1C was down from 9.5 to 7.3. Triglycerides down from 161 to 100. HDL was up 15 points. Overall cholesterol was up to 248 but that is normal with carnivore. The only surgery for any of these was in the wrist to release the tendon. I have been doing carnivore for over 10 weeks now and feel better than I have since I was in my 20's (I am 57). I eat meat, mostly red, dairy and eggs but only drink water and coffee.

Do you have a build of this on any forums?

I had quite a few videos that I removed from RU-vid a couple of years ago. I was planning to re-upload this car but had a hard drive crash this summer and lost most of those. I didn't really do a follow build on this car like I used to though, due to some health issues that have made building much more time consuming and tedious.
