I'm installing a 4200 Vortec from a Trailblazer into my 1949 Chevrolet Styleline Deluxe. I decided to use the entire wiring harness including the BCM so I would have keyless entry, automatic headlights etc.
I am going to test 5 wire locks soon. In theory it should work and there would be no need to add lock/unlock buttons if they will work. Push one lock and the other will actuate. Unfortunately there is no trunk/hatch release in the Trailblazer, only lock/unlock so I'll still have to manually open the trunk.
I see you have accuair compressor system on your car did you know that they folded in Cali. Are `you confidant that the WABCO compresser will function as long as you need it to. I was going that route but Covid stalled my build. Now looking to pick it up again. Ive seen tanks and systems in ARIZONA but they are using outside compressors. I also herd that they had been bought and was on your end of the country but cant find any info if they started up under a new Co. any help would be helpful. lost the vids of your build would like to find the of the trunk metal install.for reference... Dam RU-vid anyway. Nice car and work, going a 6.0 route and Jimenez Bro bags w/shocks 2 link.
Yep I know they went under. They were bought out by www.arnottindustries.com Arnott Air Suspension. I'm not sure the compressor will hold up.. I've seen many failures on RU-vid. I think it might last if you rarely adjust height but if you're having fun for too long it probably overheats. I'm going to install an external compressor for a backup I just don't want to have to hear it every time I run the car. I do like the quiet of the accuair!
