Am I supposed to be able to breathe during the cranial cervical flexion? I can barely squeeze in air but exhaling is almost impossible. Granted, I'm experiencing breathing issues and trying to address overactive secondary respiratory muscles, but still.
@@EthJacko No I have not yet. I do smoke maybe one smoke a day, I find it gets agitated when I do. I plan on going to get it checked out Tuesday. I will keep you posted.
Pro Tip: Chin tuck while sitting in your car's driver seat. For whatever reason... the intensity of pushing your head into the headrest gives craaaazy stimulation.
I had eagle syndrome surgery recently on the right side and this muscle is always swollen. This surgery isn’t going to fix it just like all the other surgeries did not. My cartridge in my throat will pop over and I can keep it in place (toward the swollen muscle)and I believe it’s this muscle. I always swell and just live in extreme pain. Radiates to the back of the neck on the same side into my shoulder blade. Any ideas ?

This was so helpful. I couldn't identify where my pain was coming from - and avoided rubbing the side of my neck for fear of death (I saw a scary Tik Tok) - tried this and oh my hat! I found the area that's been causing me so much discomfort! I'm addicted to pinching that muscle now!
I have this issue. I have soreness down at the lower trap. I feel like it pulling on my upper trap preventing upward rotation. When I do standing Ys it causes severe headaches. I think it is very weak and dysfunctional
