How to Replace Blade on Dewalt Mitre Saw

Nice one, Emily. I don't have a Miter Saw, but I made a Table Saw with a DeWalt 7-1/4 inch Heavy Duty Circular Saw mounted under a wooden workbench. The top is 1/2 inch plywood or maybe a little thicker. I cut a slot for a 12 inch blade wide enough for a 45° cut with that blade edge cut to 45° to accommodate, took the safety guard assembly off and mounted the circular saw underneath. I added a 120VAC Outlet with an extension cord and a Power On/Off switch so I could lock the saw Power Switch closed (because it's underneath). I used my Router to make 2 guide grooves parallel to the blade to keep the wood to be cut straight, used sheet metal to make a guide slider with 2 parallel wood runners underneath for the table grooves and a vertical-to-the-blade 2x2 on top to keep the wood to be cut 90° to the blade and to pull the guide in the grooves. The workbench table top is about 4 feet by 8 feet, so it easily accommodates long pieces to be cut. It's not pretty, but it works and I saved a ton of money and still have a workbench, too. I guess all circular saw blades have the locking bold threaded backwards because of blade rotation, so I have to remember that every time. I like the locking pressure plate! The Circular Saw has a blade lock button similar to yours. Working upside down to change a blade is fun, but the 12 inch blade allows me to cut up to a 4 inch height.
