Hey there, I am Bacon Ninja and it is time to get greasy! This channel covers all aspects of the FPV drone hobby, and sometimes it gets a little weird. Let's have a laugh while we learn together and explore the experience of first person flight. There will be science, engineering, reviews, testing, and unboxing right along side face melting rip sessions, hijinks, and downright stupidity. Welcome to the last place you ever thought you would be, I hope you enjoy your stay!
Nervously following the video series with my son, first ever go at this. I think soldering has probably been the hardest part. Got all the motors wired but they are a little weak. How would you re-enforce them, add flux pen, add a little more solder?
Doing a speedybee35 with 2205 iflight xing 3250kv. Axis flying argus f7 aio, 03 unit. Got 89mm 8 blades and HQ 90mm 3 bladdes to try. Thinking 4s but might try 6 😉 got yellow guards and leds. Going gps and buzzer on this one. Got a YMZFPV starship x1 that was great little 2.5" quad but got in wet grass and only 1 side working. Thinking about another axis flying argus f7 for it if that works good. Also have cinebot25 s that is fun 😁 still learning. 7" with dalprops and darwinfpv f7 is easiest so far😁 keep the bacon coming!!
Six to seven years ago I bought FPV drone kit+box googles and flew the drone few times full speed to ground or tree and stopped, since the drone was broken. I was confident that my "console era thumbs" would easily handle and understand how to control the drone...no...The transmitter just didn't "fit" on my hands at all. Now I think I'll invest in the better transmitter first and practise in a sim, since I've owned the liftoff as long as I can remember.
I am building a freestyle build, with the source one v3, and axis flying motors. With a sky stars f7 stack. And with a Hglrc receiver and a caddx nebula pro.
I love this video! What I’ve noticed about the people that don’t like this drone is that they didn’t read the manual. All your information is dead on, thanks!
It's not just muscle memory. Of course, it is very important, but after 5000 hours in simulators, I can now fly with one hand, using a Steam controller (gyroscope), or a simple gamepad. In my opinion, the skill is not in the fingers, but in the head.
I've got multiple v3 stacks that have failed. None being the FC all being the esc. 2 different drones, same sprt of issues. All stacks coming from Amazon. I think Speedybee is selling legit failed stacks on amazon. Ive had 2 full on blow ups, and 3 failed esc's between 2 different drones with different parts. I've put this in front of other people, so I'm not talkin out of my ass. The one thing they had in common i read in the comments recently, flashed bluejay i read in a comment is bad bad..... is this true?? That would for sure be the common area with my issues. However i have another drone running the same firmware but the difference is i pirchased it from a Rotorgeeks here in Canada. Pretty sure the Amazon stacks are Speedybees failed stacks, thus why you don't see any nice new v4 stacks for sale on Amazon. Speedybee wants me to send them back on mine dime, and wait over a month. After providing pictures, video proving they are failed stacks. I don't want a v3, i don't trust them after this many downed drones..... if anyone has any reason why the v3 esc's are popping and causing fires.... and or missing esc's. (Note: these are clean pro builds, double checked) something is goin down, it theres something about Bluejay i don't know about, lead me in that direction please.
Smacked my 5inch on the pavement about 2 minutes after flying (threw the arm/disarm switch instead of profile switch). Troubleshooted/workedon/repaired over a week of time, money, energy, plugged in and the mf blew up........
I usually fly in the morning with the dew still present and I notoriously get my escs wet which ends my flights pretty quickly when I hit wet grass. Luckily the heat shrink gun always brings it back to my life. I think I'm just going to coat my escs for that situation and see how it goes.
I did spot the right motors pretty quickly, the first one was visibly closer to sbang in style, pilots who want the same snappy effect from budget motors would often choose higher kv motors.
Hey man. Can you hel me? I have a RadioKing radio TX18s (opentx). My internal rf mode is set on Multi FrSky D16. What do i need to do to get ELRS? Reason being. I was to purchase a Cineape35 BNF which i also believe have the ELRS receiver. What do I do?
Hey I was wondering if u could help me out and tell me how to start onboard recording couldn’t find anything online about it, I’m able to record off the goggles on my mark 5 have zero idea how to start recording on the 03 I am not using the dji controller btw, thanks
Someone before hand like the many times coming from Amazon, tampered with the settings and the charger started when it shouldn't and the lady I was arguing with from Verizon had me in my feelings so I forgot about it and charge without a balance lead causing a fire I the garage. So my supposive mother that has been involved I setting me up all my life and helped create this game all these fools play today keeps all the insurance money. It's over playas.
More like already outdated. All these fools are outdated. And none of them are god, but watch this little guy bring them to their knees.. these same idiots that created thus whole mess set me up as a teenager. So I have over 30 years of no problem free money and literally the same RU-viders teaching old stuff
heavy stack and struggles under cpu load ,the F7 speedybee is a really good FC runs rpm filters with ease under 20% cpu usage ,, I stay away from speedybee esc's ,the mamba 55 amp 128 esc with 2050 motors is what I use for my racing quads . cheap generic $25 8 bit esc for my freestyles , been using the mak4 f722reta6 6500mpu 8k pid loop plug ant play FC for $27 for my freestyle * 8k pid loop is so so smooth for filming at ali express and the 8 bit 60 amp generic esc with rubicon 570v cap for $25 at ali express way better setup and way lighter
Hi i know im about a year late to the party but I hope you this message and perhaps you can help me out but first let me say that this is a GREAT video as well as the one about flashing the firmware. so the issue that I am having is that all of a sudden I started to get a warning while flying saying "you RF signal is critical" and telemetry lost. this is happening around 100 meter distance. this was not happening at all.
Very good points...trying to learn this on a sim and hadn't considered the factors you mention, and flying at a low camera angle and wide view...going to make some adjustments. BTW, amazing video, looks like a sim!
I have twitching yaw with speedybee f405 v3 and tmotor v2207 v3 setup. All new setup. Already update latest fc and esc firmware still the same. Anyone have the same problem?
Great VIDEO. i do have a question, in the GEPRC site says that for my drone which is the "GEPRC Tern-LR40 HD O3 Long Range FPV" the receiver for 2.4 elrs is "GEPRC ELRS24" so when in ELRS configurator and i want to flash the receiver (not the controller) the options are "GEPRC Nano 2.4GHz PA100 RX", "GEPRC Nano(SE) 2.4GHz RX" and "GEPRC Dual Diversity 2.4GHz RX" do you have any idea which one is it?
Thought about this frame but ended up with Aos 3.5. Also on 6s with t motor 1604. And the mamba Aio. I’ve blown it to pieces twice. Waiting on new frame. All electronics good thankfully.
Good video, would be great if i saw it when started. for ones want tune and learn, its good to watch chris rosser videos about filter and pid, and one advice for new pilots its, dont use dji radio with o3 air unit drones, its good only for dji drones, soon or later you can lose conection and something really bad can happen, i learned it in the bad way. And the gimbals dont give good control as others good radios with fullsize gimballs. The sim is the best tip to learn, i will also say its good to use the liftoff and the liftoff micro drones. Flying good on both make u completelly ready to fly in real world.
