I built resource locator drones and patrol drones. I restart often and with each one, I build something else, like a modular rover. I plan on modifying my rover for different things as well.

@@FatMiddleAgedManyeah I've tried to ask some of the creators if it was OK to try to bring some over to Xbox and some have been like you can try but they can't guarantee that it will work, and some have flat out said no.. One guy said go buy a PC😢
No Artificial Mass? Interesting! If you have a space ball that might work, if not and you are inside of planetary gravity, either small batteries or blast door blocks - though just be careful with the blast doors as they don't have snapping points on all of their sides like the batteries

@@AaronPaulley I think those are just painted Industrial Beam blocks, the 2x1x1 base and tips - unless you mean the flat magnetic plate on the front maybe?

So far, tho, I think it's the kind of game that can really hook me up (voxel management, excellent base building and tech stuff). I'm learning so to me everything is brand new so I will make some experience and watch a lot of tutorials! 🙂

Built one in survival once, had a forklift-ish vehicle to recover materials after crash for recycle and reuse! No lost power cells when they're merged into the next build. Had a pair of batteries that were used more than once on separate builds after surviving crashing.
I truly enjoy all the DLC releases. Going back to remaking machines from the past. Coming up with different ways to use new blocks. I feel that the newly released DLC's makes SE solo play a bit easier.
Damn right! If my construction vehicles don't have this on there it doesn't feel right - though, gotta say I am also enjoying the new Cab cockpit for them as well!
Automatons, Deco 3 and probably Heavy Industry are my favourites - never played the Frostbite scenario though now that you mention it, might give it a try later... good video though
Same - I use them sometimes for my video stuff, and I know some RP servers out there probably get a ton of use out of them, so I get why they exist - I just see them as "bonus content" for my bonus content :D
I’ve been trying to build a large grid forklift for quite sometime now and it is pretty large aswell however I can’t get the blocks I’m using for the mast to connect to both pistons im using regular light armor blocks and I just can’t get it to connect to both any tips?
Actually, yes I do! I've recently (Monday) done a rebuild of my forklift rover - and it's a doozy! Instead of using a lift piston, and then hinge before the landing gear, I've got a piston-powered-hinge-lift (as in, the pistons push out, and the hinges automatically lift, clang-free!) - no reason it shouldn't work as well for Large-Grid. I've got a recording due out fairly soon (probably later this weekend, or early next week) to demonstrate how it all works! It does also cover connecting the subgrids too, so hopefully that will help :)

i got a question what spec does your pc have i wana try running this game and most stuff is i have trusted them before they said you will get 60 fps when i run at 7 wich is not even close
Good Morning! Excellent question, and I totally understand your frustration. My machine isn't anything fancy, it's over 5 years old now, built it for my 30th on a budget of about £1500. OS: Windows 10 - 64-bit Processor: Intel Core i7 8700K Memory: 16GB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB Space Engineers runs really well for the most part - but it does hang up occasionally based on installed mods, size of grids - obviously if you crash a 100,000+ PCU ship into the planet, you aren't getting more than 4 FPS, but for general play you'd be able to play the game with no lag or stuttering on most semi-recent machines. Alternatively, it's also now available on Xbox Gamepass - although with restrictions on installing mods. @@KaijuSheeley I've got 3000 hrs in SE, and my PC is a bit older than Sam's specs above -- older i7 and a GTX 970 (which was strong nearly a decade ago but ancient now). I can still get 50-60 fps in SE PROVIDED I strictly limit what I run. Game settings on medium detail mostly (which doesn't sacrifice much visual quality from the higher settings), shorter view draw distance, etc. For mods, try to avoid running too many mods that are very large. I have something like 80 mods loaded, but almost all of them are tiny quality of life mods that do not use a lot of heavy scripting. Also applies to running scripts on programmable blocks in-game if you're playing in experimental mode. Some scripts run a lot more instructions more frequently, like the Vector Thrust OS script for VTOL thruster aircraft. Same for ships, which Sam mentioned in his comment. Keep your biggest ship size under 20-50K PCU and you'll be fine. Larger is also possible but in space (no planetary environmental calculations or rendering) is best for big ships. For gameplay, I normally try to build my practical ships in the 1k to 10k PCU range. This includes NPC ships! If you run Modular Encounters for NPC factions, keep in mind that they will spawn ships too, and some of them spawn BIG ships. Overall, I've seen discussion threads that mention SE has an unstated 300K PCU limit for all ships/grids active in a world at once (player + NPC spawns), so use your admin tools to clean up ships and grids to keep it below this, and your game should run OK.
