This was one of my favorite episodes ! I would've loved to have seen some of these " Doomsday Wandering Weapons " recalled and deployed against the " Borg." Don't know if it would've made a difference at the battle of " Wolf 359 " or not; but I think 🤔 it might blow a cube or two to pieces; it has no living beings to "Assimilate " and its technology might surpass the Borg ?
OMG what is it with all this emotional garbage in this production ? If Starship Captains were prone to get upset like this they wouldn't have got the job as Captain in the first place. Both Captain and First officer leaving the Bridge while a Klingon Warbird cloaked and uncloaked around them firing at them so they could go and have an emotional breakdown, come on this awful and the acting is dreadfup, why not pour the emotion on with a spade why don't you. Can you inagine Kirk, Picard, Sisko and even Janeway leaving their posts to do this. What a complete waste of 16.36 of my life, cheers.
Indeed. Totally get this complaint, it's completely valid. All I can say is that there was a different motivation for why we did certain things years ago. That changed and I'll hope you'll give the films we did later on a shot. Thanks for the feedback.
Good lord, where are all these fantastic Star Trek sets? Are they the same ones used by the other fan film groups, or are there more than one set of them?
She is very suited for the part!! To be a descendent of the famous captain of the NX-01!! She has his drive!! And like him...she's always thinking on her feet!!
So we simply said there was a hull breach on deck 1. Deck 1 is more than just the bridge. The crew suffocated when the air was blown out into space. Then later the breach was sealed. I didn't have the option to damage a filming set that I do not own.
They know that we know that they know! Classic cat and mouse slippery Romulan episode. Allenby is justified in feeling fear, she has just escaped from the hornets nest. Good episode.
What a great video! I enjoy both Vance' so films and Josh's films. I'm hoping to see a reunion in "Once and Future Captain" between Minard, Archer and Mason.
Every Fan Film he made, made him better at his magic and now he does as good as you LOL, I even Edited a few for him and he went beyond needing me because I couldn't advance and do other things in editing beyond joining film pieces, I didn't mind, only capable to do easy LOL, just so glad he continues creating his magic as you all do giving things to look forward to those of us who can't join in but to be Audience
I don't believe that there is any specific line of dialogue saying he's the only one. We also know that the USS Intrepid was a Constitution Class ship with an all Vulcan crew, so that in and of itself does point to other Vulcans in Starfleet. It may be distasteful for Vulcans to serve with Humans, but that doesn't mean it never happens. Two other factors to note: 1. The stardate of this film puts it late in Season 3 of the TOS era, so things may have started to open up. By TMP we know there were other Vulcan officers, Commander Sonak and the planned character of Xon in Phase II. 2. These films take place in an alternate universe, so things could be completely different there.
That was fabulous! One very modest critique: I'm pretty sure that a constitution class ship could not haul a Romulan ship at warp speed in a tractor beam, especially not with one nacelle severely damaged.
Hi Andy, Thanks for the kind words. Yes, some interesting speculation. But I would need to see some type of canon technical specs that would definitively state that a Constitution Class could not do this. In "The Doomsday Machine" the Enterprise certainly planned to tow the Constellation back at Warp Speed before they were attacked. A Romulan Bird of prey is a much smaller ship. With regard to a damaged Nacelle, The Excalibur's warp engines were fully operational by the time they left the Nebula. It was their weapons systems that were damaged. If you're referring to the Romulan ship, they had deactivated their engines and sealed off breach before leaving the nebula.
History is made by those who take risks. Yes it is. But instead of worrying about making history, shouldn't she be more concerned about just doing what's right?
Perhaps, and she would have rescued the outpost regardless. But on the edge of the Neutral Zone, a Captain is also a diplomat. Allenby undoubtedly saw an opportunity for peace.
