Poem for the artist or rather part of a project I'm working on.... time based ink and other thinks I drink the sea of why and always need relief unweird absurd reality of life walks by looks at you and winks in the rhythms are the meanings some gleaning spots between the seen and scene a woven dream to wake your life to sleep so deep that time unwinds and finds disorder at peace in parts together apart increase release the form and function as both one and none begin and end the water penned its all there but yourself wealth of shelf of thought not bought but found with sound.... What a lovely song. You remind me of Nancy Griffith. You even look a lot like her, which is haunting in a good way :) Maybe a bit more somber in tone, but your approach to your music is sincere like hers and beautiful as well. I love the work of lots of singer/song-writers: John Prine, Iris DeMent, Joni Mitchell, Steve Goodman and so many others like them. But when I discovered Nancy Griffith by chance, I never felt like any performer was able to touch me so deep inside like that before (and I'm a pretty emotional person LOL). She was about my age (69) when she died--just shortly after I "discovered" her. Like thousands, possibly millions, of others, I would love to have had the chance to tell her how she was like a great friend to me through her music. She died way too soon and I miss her so much, like I would miss a best friend. I know you're not her: you are your own person with your own great style. But you remind me of her because of your great talent and similar level of sensitivity. At my age, I've learned the long way that it's always best to say something nice about someone who did something good for you while you can. So, "I wish you love, And happiness, I guess I wish, You all the best." Thanks! :)

Like the saying goes .. "before there was AI and CGI, there was TALENT". And yes she has the voice and style of an Angel. I would sit in a 60's coffee house all day to listen to her. Mesmerizing
Kelli Very nice - you sound terrific! The guitar is as beautiful, as you are. This music to this song was written by Keith Richards in an afternoon while he was just recovering in a de-tox unit in Jamacia ! Mick Jagger then filled in more lyrics. Ironically - it wasn't about anybody, but it ended being one of the most rumored (who it was about) songs the Stones created. It certainly is an anthem for all relationships that come to end, so sad, but incredibly iconic and beautiful. Your guitar fingerpicking is insanely excellent - and that Gibson's tone is superb. You created a masterpiece on this one Kelli ! It is awesome. I think a great song for you would be either Bruno Mars "Talking to the moon" or Dylan's "I shall be released" - Bette Midler covered it and it was awesome. Keep them coming girl, love to watch and listen to you play ! Jim

Tbh I always cringed a little when i heard Jaggers somewhat OTT angst vocals on what is otherwise a beautiful heartfelt song. Thankyou Kelli for your soft, measured and wistful voice which allows the beauty of these lyrics to rise to the surface accompanied by some wonderful understated picking and strumming on the Gibson. Bravo!! X
