Happy Birthday, Amy! I recently went on a hike as well. There is poetic perfection, a sense of everything right with the world when my hiking boots are gathering dust on a trail system with those I love. Your prayer brings me peace and for that, Thank you!

Beautifully articulated, David, yes!! Poetic perfection. There’s something especially about having a pack on my back that I just feel one with everyone and remember that I have all I need and will meet the wide world on that beautiful trail. Thank you for the birthday wishes! Love and vibes to you~~<3

In the United States there are 3 main accent regions and almost all accents fall into one of these three categories : The first is the Midwestern/Western accent, which is the "standard" American accent. It developed in the great lakes region (Chicago, Detroit, Cleveland) and was heavily influenced by German and Irish settlers. From there it spread west and southwest to include the entire west (Colorado, Oregon, California, etc) during the 1800's when the Midwest (North) had economic superiority over the South and therefore spread the accent across the entire west during America's westward expansion Hollywood (California) then popularized this accent through television to become the standard accent of American media that we are all familiar with today. It has more closed vowel sounds, and a short, rather precise form of speech. The second one is the Southern accent. This accent originated in the South Atlantic Coast (Virginia to Georgia) and spread westward all the way to Texas. It includes much of the Appalachian mountains from southern Pennsylvania southward and shifts further south in a gradual diagonal fashion as it progresses west. (Due to the influence of the Midwestern accent across the great plains). It is heavily influenced by the Celtic accents of Ireland and Scotland as well as a heavy African-American influence. It is characterized by open nasal vowel sounds, a sharp R sound, and a relaxed, melodic or musical accent that seems to flow very easily. It can also be very difficult to understand sometimes because they tend to shorten words and to run them together in an almost unintelligible, yet charming way. The third accent family is the Northeast accent which covers the Northeastern coast from approximately Washington D.C.north to Maine and then inland to the Appalachians range where it merges with the Midwestern accent near the Great lakes. It is heavily influenced by the peasant accents of Southeast England, and it is characterized by open vowel sounds and the silent R sound (-ah) Northeasterners are known for being rather confident, talkative, loud and aggressive (Donald Trump is from New York) Most American accents fall into one of these three cultural linguistic regions. I am from Colorado where we speak with the standard "Midwestern" accent.

This is at least the third time I have seen a video saying some people in Washington pronounce it "wer-shing-ten." Never have I ever heard anyone, and I've lived on both sides of the state with plenty of friends from the middle, ever heard someone say it that way. We have enough problems being mistaken for DC when we interact with people who don't live on the west coast and have to add "state" to the end. (No hate to you, ma'am, but I just don't know where this info comes from.)

I am from Washington and I personally don’t say it that way, but my Grandparents who grew up there and lived their whole lives in WA do. So do their friends and families. So I just wanted to acknowledge that sweet little specificity before it fades away~<3

No, Russians do not pronounce r like RRRR, only like R (one) and only sometimes RR. Many times Amy did RRR. The L and K sounds are perfect, many others are excellent as well. It sounds Serbian a bit to me :-)

I loved my life, my self, my sports, hobbies, family and friends...and my career job. Then, .. at work there was a negative narcissist who was spreading his hate, negativity. It poisoned my mind subconsciously... as i started becoming negative. I started not enjoying everything,. I had a different negative attitude that was spreading in me. I lost everything. My sports, hobbies, activities, friends... and i lost my career job of 20yrs. Its totally destroyed me.. i feel into horrible depression, anxiety insomnia and full of hate, sadness, guilt, regret, resentment,.... i was extremely scared and insecure. I was freaking out and crying . I ruined my life... sleep deprivation and stress... has made me want to die. I hate suffering like this 24/7. I can't leave the apt, i isolate in shame, and fear. Depression has stolen my energy and will. I can't even shower or do things i need to... i just want to end this.
