This photo was taken a month before the concert at EastWest ‘79, so they used a few things from the event. In addition to the SB Sasaki is using a golden drum kit.
Try yahoo auctions Japan and mercari Japan, and use an import/proxy service. Seen em all on there in the past and at very cheap (though the shipping fee might be a little high, make sure to consolidate your packages and downsize the consolidated package). Good luck
They’re both great. I’d argue Jimbo is better in 1980 and in Jimsaku though. Sasaki had some sloppiness and odd decisions, but can put up some crazy stuff. Check out his 1979/02/26 pit inn drum solo on swallow.
THANK YOU SO SO MUCH SUPERAPH7, U R AN ABSOLUTE LEGEND, U DESERVE TO BE KNOWN BY ALL AND BE WRITTEN IN THE HISTORY BOOKS, now we calm down and watch 😋🤩
Hey man, I don't have the time atm but was thinking about syncing Women Of The 90s from this performance to the studio recording, because the tempos match up incredibly well, there's only a few parts that need correction and it's almost like watching them record it in the studio. Unfortunately my old laptop died when I almost had it finished.
That’s interesting to hear, I’m pretty sure this was two(?) months before they recorded The Devil Isn’t Red so it’d make sense things match up well. Maybe I can try something
Oh, and since you're here I have a question, where did you acquire most of your Hella recordings? Was it through trading or just scraping what you could off of sites from the 2000s? I know some things are on archive.org and soulseek though.
